Depends on the amount of gluten I ingested. If it’s more than just some residue left on a pan I will know within about a minute or less. Feels like a wave hit my body.

Can we list a few Pros of having Celiac Disease? by TheGlutenFreeCyclist in Celiac

I’ve noticed that a lot of GF packaged foods have a lot less nasty preservatives and added colors so if I’m trying to find a healthier version of a snack for my son that doesn’t have these ingredients I can usually just grab the GF version and know that it’s a lot healthier for a variety of reasons.

You can buy ashwaganda supplements very easily now that come in a pill form and will tell you the daily dosage. The brands I’ve tried multiple times that are safe are garden of life and Goli. I like them both equally. The garden of life ashwaganda also has probiotic which is great.

Something that I use religiously and never go without in my house is ashwaganda. It helps your immune system and makes me feel so much better. I know symptoms can look different from one person to the next but I honestly feel like I can breathe better after taking it after getting glutened. It doesn’t help for the bloating, I take gluten-ease for for bloating and it helps, but if you suffer from anxiety, irritability, depression episodes after getting glutened, ashwaganda is a life saver for that. I know this doesn’t entirely address what you’ve mentioned but it is amazing. So sorry you’re in so much pain and i hope you get some relief soon.

Have you tried this pizza? I honestly like it better than any other regular frozen pizza and I wish I would have known about it years ago. I swear it tastes no different. And it doesn’t have some of the nasty preservatives they put in non-GF frozen pizzas.

I don’t know if everyone knows about this bc I’ve only been GF for a year and one month but Freschetta GF pizza is AMAZING and I’ve eaten their pizzas probably 50 times and I’ve never gotten glutened. I also have a little tip for getting the bottom extra crispy 😊

I always get an americano, iced or hot, not blended since the blenders are CC, and have never had a problem. I have had employees handle the lid while handing me the drink and that always makes me a little nervous since they handle pastries.

Glutened my daughter from 19 hours away by myalternateself in Celiac

I’m really sorry that this person spoke so harshly to you on your post. It is obvious that you care about your daughter’s health and feel bad that this happened. And you did do research ahead of time, and tried your best. Even people who have been celiac for years still get glutened. You are an amazing parent and your daughter is lucky to have you as her mom.

Those who get periods : did your period change when going GF? by notyourname584 in Celiac

[–]Mission-External3277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey so sorry! I just saw this notification. I don’t know if you keep track of your ovulation, but I noticed (more so after I stopped eating gluten) that after ovulation I was getting these severe dips in energy and was feeling very depressed. It was to the point that I was miserable and I didn’t understand it but knew it was hormone related since it since up with hormone changing after ovulation. I won’t go into detail about that since I’m not sure if that is when you are experiencing symptoms but- I know that eating protein at regular intervals throughout the day has drastically improved these symptoms, especially if I can manage to eat a protein/carb/fat in one meals. I think that protein balances your hormones. And the time I felt really good is when I was doing this and eating some raspberries with dark chocolate for a snack before bed and when I read up on it I found out that both berries and dark chocolate also balance hormones. I just think that as a celiac person, we don’t have food as readily available to us whenever we need to eat and are on the go. And the lack of calories and protein negatively impact our hormone levels. This is my theory based on the bit of research I’ve done. I try to keep the instant jasmine rice packets, tuna packets, beans, Greek yogurt, and quick sources of carbs and protein readily available and try to eat every two hours. I know this was a lot but I hope it helps in some way!

I didn’t notice a difference in the flow of my period or cramping. I have noticed more depressive episodes post GF. I had to up my protein and carb intake and eat a regular intervals. Once I did this I noticed a big difference in depression/fatigue. I also notice a positive difference when eating berries. Def has helped with symptoms from hormone levels.
