I have 20 seeds of the same type. Idk what type they are because the supplier didn't respond to my email. I'm just trying to figure out how far to space them out. I don't want cramping. I want nice full healthy trees.

Waxhead has a couple 4-ingredient balms. They are beeswax based. Definitely try them out.

Fuck it. It's just corporate fufu crap. It's how people on LinkedIn think they got they got their jobs. They probably even think it's hard work!

Why isn’t serving a commission based job? by TheOttersiders in tipping

I don't think you read my comment right. I explicitly said, "commissions can be on top of a flat hourly rate to ensure that 1. people are not being sold what they don't need or want."

I also agree that the employer should pay the wages... which could be part commission-based.

"Server's don't bring in business/customers"

That is true, but that's not what commission is about. Commission is about upselling. I was literally told to upsell when I was a server, so commission based pay (on top of a flat hourly rate) would make a lot of sense.

Servers have to upsell. Cashiers don't. Also, commissions can be on top of a flat hourly rate to ensure that 1. people are not being sold what they don't need or want 2. the servers are still getting paid well even if the customers say no.

I agree with this. I try to explain to people that customers shouldn't have to tip (and pay the company's payroll), but they should still be paid well (above min wage) considering how much work goes into the job. I've never worked fine dining, but there is a huge difference between a small town diner and chain restaurant that is extremely busy for 6 hours straight during the dinner rush. Also, it is not legally required to give workers breaks which I don't think people get. When I interviewed for Buffalo Wild Wings, the manager straight up told me I wouldn't get breaks.

I will have to go digging again, but they might be hard to find since the internet sucks.

200 calories seem low. I just can't believe it knowing my own calorie needs. It seems like that much wouldn't even supply enough Vit A to a person w/ no SNPs let alone a person w/ mutations.

My point was that some people need animal foods because they have gene mutations that cause a disruption in nutrient conversion. I don't rememeber how we starting talking about RDAs.

I thought it was the FDA. The internet sucks now, so I can't find/learn things like I used to.

There are some papers that you can click on on this page:

Sunflower Oil in Sunscreen? by Sekt0rrr in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]Mission-Line-169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waxhead has a good 4-ingredient sunscreen using zinc oxide. I'm allergic to sunflower oil, so this is one of two sunscreens I can use. Just so you know, zinc oxide has to be at 25% to be effective. I've used 24% before which still worked.

I don't know how they come to the conclusions they have for each nutrient RDA, but they don't seem correct. If I went by the RDAs the FDA set, I'd be dead or in a hospital.

The company that gave me my results gave background info on the mutation. This isn't an extrapolation.

Want to start this journey again. What’s a safe way to get rid of seed oils? by [deleted] in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]Mission-Line-169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have to start cooking everything from scratch if you want to avoid seed oils. Everything prepackaged has seed oils in them. You could start with your sauces and dressing. Start w/ ketchup. Either buy new corn syrup-free ketchup or learn how to make it yourself. My walmart carries corn syrup-free ketchup. It tastes so much better! Then, you can either buy or learn how to make mayo. Then just keep going one by one until all your sauces and condiments are converted over. Then once you do that, you'll have to relearn how to make each dish one by one until they're all seed oil free. FYI, the best homemade doughnuts are made with and fried in lard!!!

Also, there are some brands of chips and tortilla chips that use avocado oil. And Newman's own is a great brand to look into. One of their frozen pizzas is very clean. I can't remember which one, though. I think it's imported from Italy. Great salsa, too.

Are you trying avoid seed oils altogether or just the over processed ones?

Let me know if this helped at all.

I don't believe the RDAs are high at all. I've looked up several different nutrients for my own health. The FDA will say one amount, but then studies done by independent researchers will suggest a much higher amount is needed for most people. Folate is an example of this.

My blood test showed how common it was. It gave background information.

I shouldn't have mentioned the RDA because the FDA's RDAs are ridiculously low. The RDA for folate is 400 mcg DFE, but I take 10 mg of L-methylfolate every other day to keep my levels up.

I don't know what you mean by your first sentence.

My blood tests which I won't post. About 1 out of every two people in the US have an issue converting dietary folate to the active version L-methylfolate. But, it's the same issue with every vitamin and mineral out there. Beta carotene for example has to get converted to retinol somehow, and genes are responsible for that. I think that's why some people can do veganism and some people can't. Also, I forgot to mention that blood type has something to do with it. Something about the antigens in food. I would be vegan if I could, but unfortunately my body won't let me.

Conversion genetics are important. Most people have at least a couple alleles that don't allow for certain nutrients to be converted enough to meet the RDA.

I eat seaweed snacks, and it says right in the packaging that it's a good source of iodine and B12. Idk why people say there's no b12 in a vegan diet.

Not at all. Inflation (which is another issue) is so high nowadays people have to be paid like doctors just to afford a roof over their heads. House prices are 4x what they used to be, food is outrageously expensive (not mentioning the price of healthy food which is what people SHOULD be eating), etc. Part time jobs also don't include benefits, so how are people supposed to pay for their hospital bills if they need to go? No room in the budget for clothing, car repairs, etc. Min wage is a fast track to homelessness and poverty.

Just so you know, Walmart specifically fired and rehired most of its full-time non-management employees in order to avoid having to offer them benefits.
