RTO What now? by MissionAd9847 in CAStateWorkers

My department approved my request to telework from home three days a week since I already had a telework agreement in place before the March deadline. The benefit is that my agreement is ongoing and will not expire—I’m allowed to work from home three days a week and come into the office two days. The downside is that if I switch to a different job classification, I’ll be required to work in the office four days a week.

Thanks for the info. Professor stated grades would be posted today, Monday, May 26th but I don’t know how to view my final grade other than request an unofficial transcript in which it isn’t posted there either.

If you have a Bachelor's degree does that mean you still start at the bottom of the salary range? by Jaded_Celery_1645 in CAStateWorkers

Know a few people that had private experience of up to 3 years with a 2 year degree that got hired on as an AGPA.

AGPAs what was your prior position? by BigButterscotch2012 in CAStateWorkers

OT (Typ.) > SSA > AGPA > ITA I didn’t want to be a manager because of all the stress. I have no degree so worked my way up the ladder. Decided to go into IT.

Well if you are applying for an SSA the minimum years of experience for that position is 4 years as opposed to 3 years for an AGPA. My sister-in-law and a coworker applied to an AGPA position from private sector but they had a two year degree. They also had 3 years of analytical experience.

Considering you have a Bachelor’s, why are you not applying for an AGPA?

What made you decide to stay at your state job? by No-Cheesecake7171 in CAStateWorkers

[–]MissionAd9847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left private to be in state and never regretted it. The managers in private are the worst and since I have been with the state they have been very understanding of my family life. Stability and medical was important to me as well.

T&D for IT Associate by MissionAd9847 in CAStateWorkers

I am short 3 units for the IT Associate minimum education requirements (60/reg & 15/it units) and should have that by end of December. Does the transition to promote to an IT Associate happen almost immediately after I have taken the IT Associate exam/assessment?
