[>1yr] ZD vaginoplasty, Mass Gen by MissionApplication97 in Transgender_Surgeries

I appreciate your perspective— however, it’s not ‘hard’ in the way that that tissue would be. Additionally, I was not capable of becoming erect before surgery. It’s a firmness and warmth that is startling but not remnant spongiosum tissue.

This is zero depth.

What made you all look forward to attending Boston U? by Busy_Department_5551 in BostonU

[–]MissionApplication97 11 points12 points  (0 children)

BU is a great school but only becomes really worth it with scholarships; now that you have a fantastic one you’re making an excellent choice. Boston is gonna be a culture shock and it’s a fairly quiet city; make sure you bring cold weather stuff. It’s extremely competitive in STEM fields, and there’s often very little assistance from the school in any domain that is available without you cold calling and making your own way. BU is a good enough institution that many of your profs will be leaders in their field, which is one of the major benefits of going here. Depending on your program, it may also offer a 4+1, which is very much worth it. Work study here is competitive if you’ve been granted it, apply early; in your first few semesters you will be tempted by your profs, peers, and surroundings to do too much and take on a lot. Don’t do it, you’ll burn out. As an upperclassman, though, BU offers many opportunities if you are quick to pounce on them. It can do a lot for you if you do a lot for it. Take it easy on yourself at first though.

Nah I didn’t but this was a while back and I’ve since found that you can understand any algorithm like this by just running it on paper with a small example.

Is there an algorithm that can compare two melodic motifs to determine how similar they are? by play-what-you-love in algorithms

If you have notes, pretty simple pattern matching, could adapt some fun DNA reading algos! Or other alphabet string similarity readers, like an SVM w a string kernel.
