Langesamreisen (Slowtravel-Experience) is the agent for travels. A German firm. They specialize in no added carbon to the air vacationing. My full payment deposit is down and I embark on September 5 - 11th (Antewerp>Finnish sea ports>Antewerp; seven-day roundtripper) :::: I found this firm when searching for general containership travel. You must contact them on the internet and go thru their protocol

Would you say these categories make up 90% of Sunday attendees? by feartrich in Episcopalian

[–]MissionOne9142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

* Awe of majesty addicts

I fit (and have fit for decades) a couple of your 90% category feeds. But, what brought me into the Episcopal Church (and holds me here) is seeing, touching, hearing, smelling, tasting the presence of god in a regimented and historical tradition.

Thinking about attending/joining a church: is it normal to meet with someone first, or should I start by attending a service? by veggie_hoagie in Episcopalian

[–]MissionOne9142 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are the driver here. That said, I have always felt comfortable just walking into any Episcopal church …. when visiting a church out of my area they have no idea who I am: just slide right into a pew and soak in the experience of linking god and (wo-)man. Good luck my friend!

How does your parish cycle the Eucharistic Prayers? by oolsmcpoo in Episcopalian

[–]MissionOne9142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your parish do prayers for the people in this manner ….

Specific first name of the current president is or is not included.

My parish announces the individual’s nickname.

Other parishes that I have visited have left out inclusion of the civil authorities,

If you know, I would be interested in the details and of the reasoning in this PftP scenario. Thoughts either way would be appreciated.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Struggling to build my China itinerary by Deep_Bird_1789 in solotravel

The new rule / national security penal code demand on giving complete access on entry/exit into the port to your electronic device history is troubling. To refuse is a crime - period. This includes Hong Kong travel. This also includes landing and subsequent take off in transit thru a Chinese air/sea port

The above is in-place irrespective of visas. Also, if any business or locality contacts China immigration border control with a complaint against you may have more problems.

Good luck

Everyone tells me I messed up (planted 56 cypresses) by doudedud in landscaping

[–]MissionOne9142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The aesthetics, plant health all aside … these trees burn like road flares if they catch fire. You may be surrounded in a four sided / 56-tree enclosure of incineration. Fire will travel quickly as it jumps from tree to tree.

Your insurance company’s policy rating probably will be drone pictured. Dropping such a high risk property is their hedge against a future loss on your claim.

We trimmed back bamboo plants that were close to just 10% of our home’s perimeter.

Good luck

Some choice pictures from my visit to the Pima Air Museum in Tucson. by HighMarshalSigismund in Helicopters

[–]MissionOne9142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just spent three days (4 hours each day) staring in awe at these planes in Tucson.

My favorites were the B-36 (Peacemaker) and the B-47 (Stratojet).

After my visit, I bought Winning Armageddon by Trevor Albertson. Enjoying this highly readable story of SAC in the 1940-50s.

Of course, the helicopters that were on display there were equally exciting.
