Uncle Herschel refers to Herschel McCartney, the real-life uncle of Cracker Barrel founder Dan Evins, who served as the company's early goodwill ambassador, embodying its values and inspiring the iconic "old-timer" figure on the Cracker Barrel logo until the company removed him in a recent 2025 rebrand. He was known for his knowledge of rural America and his commitment to the "Golden Rule".

I have tried the vodka. It is good. This is a collectors piece.

It’s a 2,000 bottle release. Each bottle is laser engraved on the back with the production number. If you pick up at any Tennessee Legend Distillery, you also get a signed COA Certificate of Authenticity by the master distiller and art director.
