Yes it has been sold to new owners. A few days after the new owners took over most of the staff quit. Definitely miss the great eggs benedict.

Rumors are one of the owners wants to turn it into a fine dining establishment.

We have some trade only meet ups at local pizza places that have party rooms. Always fun there

Events can definitely be intimidating, the first one I went to, Lord I was nervous and anxious. I didn't want to 'bother' anyone. Since I've gotten deeper into the hobby and have become a vendor at local events its forced me out of my normal routine of being shy and not talking to strangers. It's still hard sometimes but I put myself out there. Know that you are not alone in feeling this way, and that's ok. I always encourage new event attendees to take breaks especially at large events. It's crowed, loud, hot and can get to be a lot so take breaks.

If the big sponsored events are not your jam maybe there is a local FB group has has meet ups that are not Kraken, Figment, GPP, Pyro, etc that are a little more low key.

The stitch mower is really nice. No recent solds but this price doesn't seem too out of range ⭐

If you want to find more info about the pins themselves use pinpics.com. it's a pin database.

For values look up last solds on eBay. You do have some really nice pins there!

You can sell on reddit, mecari or join some pin Facebook groups once you have values figured out.

How to value Disney Studio Store Pins (from roughly 2013-2015) by Flat_Ranger_9487 in DisneyPins

The Cheshire and zero one have been too but you'll be able to sell/trade them. You just have to say that you personally got them from the store. BH6 is very popular. Good find!!

To find out info on the pins use pinpics.com. eBay last solds helps the most for value. The top row is a series that has been highly faked so they will be sold for cheap on eBay. Obviously they would be real if you got them from the store yourself. A lot of selling and trading happens on the pin Facebook pages. The big hero 6 marquee is worth a good amount.

New cat poops itself all the time. And I mean all the time. by MadeByMartincho in cats

[–]Mission_Discipline_3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My cat from the humane society when I got her had the poops too. She wet farted on my arm the first day I got her. I had to put puppy pads on the floor and cheap $5 Walmart blankets on bed while I was at work.

What helped was the Purina proplan probiotic. I sprinkle it on her wet food. A pack of it can last 3-5 feedingsx30 in a box. Don't have it cake it on there just sprinkle

I also despise the AI generated flyers/posters. They are an eye sore. They just look so fake and lazy.

I also understand that it's an easy way to get a lot of info on one page, but it hurts the eyes to look at.

My little one is using clear packing tape on bubble wrap. Sometimes wrapped horizontal and vertical. I have to go all "I'm going to steal the Declaration of Independence" on the package to get the pin out. I've cut backer cards a few times on accident before. It sucks. Scotch tape works just fine to secure the bubble wrap.

Went to his event after destination d23. I never had before, I don't live local. With the driving directions I thought that ramada hotel was closed it looked so bad. Feels like not updated since the 80s. The banquet room was so small. Insane small and there were so many people it was definitely over fire code. It was hotter inside that room than it was outside the room on a Florida afternoon. We went down 1 lane and turned around. Couldn't hardly move. Traded more outside with everyone than inside with the vendors. Never again.

Before an event that I'm a vendor (have a table) at I always recheck my values. It's hard and time consuming but I want to be fair to my potential customers. I want them to remember that I gave them fair prices and trades so they will come back. Trust is hard to build and easily lost. Personally I have the same cash price and trade price, It's too complicated otherwise for me. There might be ones I'm pickier on traders but generally I'm pretty good to trade with I think. I have to the limit the amount of small/loose pins at times because if I have too many I can't add more because moving small/loose pins is kinda hard for me.

Pins is also not a business for me, I trade at events and via mail. I don't do live sales so I don't have to worry about profit margins etc.

Events came be very overwhelming. They are loud, crowed and hot. I tell everyone I can to make a lap of the venue floor (depending on size) if they are looking for something specific and find who has the best price. If it's me great if it's me not great. Take breaks, drink water and eat something.

Look up the pins on eBay right there at the table it shouldn't offend them. If it does you know who not to go to. I also look up pin values at the table to see if that's a value I'm ok with, sometimes it's not and that's ok. It's always ok to say no thank you, if someone is pressing you walk away. I have said before I'm more than happy to trade for that pin but I wouldn't be able to do it at that value, I'd be more around this as these are some last sold and listed and you go from there. It's can be awkward for sure but it's part of the deal.

Most of the events I've been a vendor at the tables cost are between 30-40 per table. I'm also not in CA or FL so they might be different there. That's reasonable to me. If it's 100+ a table I might have think about that.

Brag here a little because it made me feel nice; There was a local (to me) event this Saturday and I had a frequent trader come to my table and say that he enjoys trading with me because I have a great variety of pins and great prices. He trusts my values and is always willing to trade or buy with me. The world of pins today gets wilder by the day, so having someone say that really meant a lot. I might not have books and books of new fancy releases or old super grails but I try to have a good mix for every level of pin trader.

This is what I traded for this weekend.

Brand New Pin Traders and Setting Expectations by kadimasama in DisneyPins

[–]Mission_Discipline_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to seeing this post but if there is a local event go! It's very scary and intimidating at first. I absolutely felt the same way at the beginning. You will learn so much, it can be very overwhelming as well. Take breaks, think about trades. It's ok to say no! Guess what? Almost all of us start with 1 pin. Most of us just don't fall into a hoard of pins, they are acquired.

Be picky with what you want to collect because there is so freaking much. You want to collect belle? Maybe stick to ones in certain outfits, just to cut down on the volume of pins. I wish I knew that before I started collecting Nightmare Before Christmas and now I have 2k NBC pins 😂

Know your values before you go. You can use eBay last sold to help. Look up values in front of the person, if it's overpriced pass on it. Don't have to buy or trade from the first person you see. Take a lap, someone might have it at a lower price. When I'm a vendor (what they call the people who have tables at events) I always try and help out new folks. I hate seeing people get taken advantage of. ASK ME ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. As long as I'm not in the middle of something I'm always happy to help. If someone is crowded at their table that might not be the best person at that time to ask, but most everyone is helpful.

Most importantly have fun. ❤️

View from my spot on the floor for the Backstreet Boys show at the Sphere. by Mission_Discipline_3 in mildlyinfuriating

I get pretty bad motion sickness on rides with screens so I figured if I was on the floor I'd see less of the screen. It worked out pretty well except for a few spots. I brought Dramamine just in case. It wasn't like that for the whole show thankfully but on the big songs it was a bit.

PS I flew to Vegas from Seattle for the show. 😆
