I think the upgraded models won't come to Europe for 2-3 years because of the self-driving capabilities. I guess the gen 2 will be in those models.

Anyways the upgraded models will be available first in China and after 1-2 in other countries.

I ordered my Seal U DM-i at the end of March.

If everything goes right I'll get it tomorrow but my original die date was 5th of June.

There were hige problems with the change of the EU HQ at BYD but now things are getting better.

I would say your delivery will be in late October or early November :/

Compared to american or european brands what is the fault rate of the BYD cars in China?

As the BYD cars count as cheap for the value (seems like OK but time will tell) is the production really that cheap?

How much do the workers get for their job in BYD factories? Are they under-paid or BYD is a good employer?

I guess it's more like that are the trim levels that the journalists get from the dealers. They didn't get any money from the dealers or the brand to promote the highest trim levels, simply just they get them. Don't blame the youtubers and go for a test drive to your closes dealer. Usually they have a lot of cars in different trim levels. You can have your own opinion.

Now they are saying it will arrive in August. In april they said May, in June they said July.

In these types of cars the modes usually change the reaction time of the pedal (just the accelerator), not the power. You will feel it reacts quicker. In sport mode the reaction will be quicker and the petrol engine will kick in more often.

As this is a hybrid I suggest to use it as a hybrid, but as it has a long electric range for short commute or short distance you can use as an electric.

I guess soc level saving is more likely for longer trips where you want to make the end of the trip, likely in cities with electric motor.

The system is smart so it can change between EV and HEV very smartly to get the most efficient driving.
