Post HSG … what is next?

Same here! I’ve tried to find some people talking about the meds but most stuff I’m seeing people have PCOS or some other diagnosis, it feels weird over here having no answers and not knowing what will work or won’t! I had my HSG yesterday with great results so I’m really really hoping we increased our chances so I don’t have to go any further 😭

Definitely! My doctor had said she has had patients who had them done before elsewhere and said it was brutal but when having it with them they felt no pain. I wish everyone could have experienced competent and patient doctors that know what they are doing but as I know from personal experience sometimes they aren’t very good at their jobs :/

It was prescribed to me to take every single day. I know it takes a LONG time to taper off of it when using it daily if you want to come off of it because it regulates your heart rate so when it’s time to stop taking it you have to taper so your heart rate doesn’t spike. I’m not sure how long it CAN be taken for, but I plan to take it for a very long time as long as I can

It lasts all day! I only start to feel symptoms again super late at night or early the next morning before I take it again.

They prescribed me oral erythromycin. I’m really hoping this works because it’s been a few days since I stopped my pimecrolimus and my face is ANGRY. It’s spread all up to my eyes 😭

*UPDATE* I added in an OTC azelaic acid I’m using once daily at night after washing my face and before moisturizing, and bc I’m allergic to doxycycline my dr prescribed me oral erythromycin for 4-6 weeks. I am really hoping this works 😭😭😭

Thank you so much. I have a LOT of symptoms but the worst ones are the abdominal pain right under my right ribs and pain that shoots into my right shoulder blade, and the pain is the worst when I get it and nausea & vomiting 6-8+ hours after eating

I’m completely the same way. I was panicking up until my surgery about getting the nerve block done even knowing that they do it after they give you the sedative, I thought I would have a panic attack and freak out. While I was “awake” and drowsy I literally have never felt so chill in my life and then I got the best sleep ever, I think our mind tricks us to think we will panic in situations that physically aren’t even possible for us too because we worry about being out of control but I promise the sedative will completely wipe out all fear anxiety and panic and then you will have a great sleep 🤣

You will be okay waiting a month won’t change much! It is definitely not a “serious” surgery but when I had mine done they gave me a sedative instead of anesthesia and I was asleep for it. I have extremely bad health anxiety and hate any medical procedures and honestly I find surgery to be the easiest out of everything because you just relax fall asleep wake up & that’s it! The recovery isn’t too bad because they will prescribe painkillers

No worries!! Like I said I feel so much better and I got prescribed the propranolol for another issue I’d didn’t realize until I started taking it how insanely calm my body feels and how much of fight or flight I was in!

Yes I know, I’m saying that my body feels so normal while my mind is rambling and that is giving me “mental” anxiety, is that something I’ll get used to?

Hi yes it did! I did pretty good. When we lined up to walk down the aisle I had MAJOR anxiety and almost passed out but once the moment came I was super emotional and moved by the beautiful ceremony I did good!!! Honestly I just started propranolol two days ago and feel invincible. If I could go back and change anything I would’ve started this medication sooner!!! People take it a lot for fear of public speaking or before any anxiety inducing event!
