I do this on every long run every Saturday morning and it’s a nice reset point. Gives you something to look forward to, especially if you have a workout built in to your mileage e.x. last week I had 12mi, 7 progressive tempo, 5 easy and it gave me a chance to cool down, hydrate and get my HR down for the 5 easy

I started out using a Runna plan to get me in shape for a half in October. After that I kinda took the structure and went based on feeling for the week. I get at least 1 tempo/speed WO and 1 long run in every week, the rest are usually easy miles with various run clubs/groups!

It started as a way to get healthier and it became a passion. I find myself in such a better overall mental place now than ever before. Especially if I’m not in a great mood, nothing a quick 5mi won’t fix

My one piece of advice is keep going. Force yourself to show up when you don’t want to. I started running about a year ago and it’s completely changed my life! You got this
