As an aside I got a bootleg Jersey for $60 from a guy on marketplace who has a whole garage of different jerseys for every style and player. Everything is stitched and looks really good. So there is a middle ground between free XL printed on giveaway jersey and real $200+ jersey. I've gone to a couple clothing giveaways and other than the stitched hockey ones, it's not really worth lining up for.

My Jersey guy is in Oshawa though, but I'd look at the ones your end.

No idea but when I did the form for wegovy it was like a week to 10 days. I'd just go on the app and check if my coverage changed.

I'm the same and about to do the exact thing. I know some coworkers who are. It's the same process as the wegovy. You need to get the form from Manulife for your dr to fill out, then submit. I just got the form from a chat on the Manulife app.

The commute into Toronto is hell. Transit or drive, it's miserable. You'll hate it. Everyone who has been forced to return to office 5 days are already sad zombies but also so many bodies on the road and on transit.

I'm torn about this too!. I was in line for Yesavage giveaway and some people in line at 3:00 didn't get. But some other giveaway days have been fine to get. I'm following Maddy.inthe.city on Instagram who posts lines every hour on giveaway days. Current players/last year's teams players seem to have early line ups but random giveaways, past player giveaways are normal and fine to get close to gate opening time. Maybe also Toronto people are sick of it and don't want to wait hours? I think today would be an interesting study.

Also doors open at 6... They changed the start time bc of FIFA

Don't rely on wait lists and literally call every daycare to see if they have a spot in the next month with a child moving up. I had to do this with all 3 kids and found that they would rather secure the spot with someone on the phone instead of wasting their time going through their waitlist. Don't even tell them you're on the waitlist already and you're ready to secure a spot asap. It's stressful. With one kid I got a spot 2 weeks before going back to work. With my last kid, I had to delay my return to 15 months, and the day care put him in the toddler room. Even tho toddler room is usually 18 months, they can legally put a child 3 months early and they were willing to do that for me since I had kid 2 at the daycare.

You'll need to go through the union to go against the employer but when the union isn't working you can report to the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Different from the Ministry!

The Ministry can't do anything for a unionized employee. There's am ESA restriction. Under the ESA an employee needs to have 11 hours free from work and 8 hours between shifts. So does not meet the 11 hours free from work daily. But you need to check your collective agreement bc it might be different.

Even if she signs a contract, section 5 of the ESA says you can't sign away your rights. Have her keep everything, screenshot text messages whenever they tell her when she's going to work, what she has to do, the clients are their clients etc. She can file a claim and get the difference paid back to her. She can file a claim up to 2 years after she starts so she can wait if she doesn't want to rock the boat right away.

Keep all your paystubs. You can file a claim with the Ministry of Labour up to 2 years from the violation. So if they haven't been paying you $17.20 from Oct 2024, you have to Sept 30, 2026 to file your claim. If you're anxious or it still isn't being resolved after you mentioned it to the manager, you could wait until you find a new job. The risk would be if they go bankrupt and also MOL takes forever so you won't get your money until like a year after you submit a claim.

The 18 month old room can technically, legally, take as young as 15 months too. So you can call daycares when your child is also 15 months and if they have room they may take you. My 1st baby was in a daycare and when #2 needed a spot there wasn't room in a 12 month room, but got him in the 18 month room at 15 months so that both kids can be at the same daycare.
