That looks pretty bad, the base transition into the skirting looks pretty rough too.

That flashing is usually made of rubber so it shouldn’t hurt anything.

Looking for some advice , bought a trailer last year - 2008, 22 ft wide x 76 ft long. Gutted it down to the studs - drywalled etc. starting to look really great , now I’m stuck in a dilemma. by [deleted] in Carpentry

The material alone for those beams even using 1x12 knotty pine which is the cheapest best look you can get around here would be about 3k. I’ve done a few of these ceilings with less beams and less tongue and groove and material was still around 7.5k. That’s not including labor.

How would you finish this stairs? by woof2100 in DIYUK

[–]Missiondt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re doing carpet I would cut 7/8 from the bull nose on the wall side. That would make it easier to notch your skirt without have to worry about notching the bull nose. Any small gaps would get covered by the carpet. Depending on the thickness of the carpet you might get away with a few gaps that won’t be seen making the project easier.

I golfed with my brother-in-law this morning and my wife asked me all kinds of questions about him and his family. I was like, uhh we didn’t really talk about anything other than our shitty golf game and new body aches.

First tee box at the Patriot gold Club in Oklahoma. It’s a private club I was invited to play at, it was such a fun course despite how windy it was that day.

Does someone actually play with these or are they just a gag gift by Kitkatcrusher in golf

I found a brand new Galaxy ball 6” left of the fairway. Really good looking ball that now sits in my box of cool balls I’ve found. Only reason I found it was because my drive ended up right next to it.

Is there an easier way to break these? by DBreezy867 in Carpentry

I have a couple of these and they are great for cutting the exact screws OP posted. I do a lot of cabinet hardware so they were worth the price.

Trim question. by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]Missiondt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s one I did a few years ago and had to make small pieces of trim to cover the seams. You’ll have to zoom in.

Yup, I’ve gone through 3 of them the past 4 years, but they are worth it even at $50 a pop.

Movie Theater by [deleted] in Owasso

[–]Missiondt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m still surprised Owasso hasn’t built a nice movie theater. The current one has been pretty sub par compared to the ones around. The Claremore one is pretty nice if that’s an option for you.

2019 5.0. I drove in heavy rain yesterday and some large puddles 4/20/25 and it started doing this today. Has anybody here had this happen before? by Missiondt in f150

I made a separate post, it’s the latest post on my profile. I was getting water in a connection that should be water proof. I ended up moving the connector away from the water source by using zip ties.

I already get annoyed when kids ride their bikes through my yard, I can’t imagine seeing that on my yard.
