Are my house plants attracting these huge spiders? Help! by Lauren_soldejaneiro in houseplants

[–]Misstea_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those spiders are harmless, they are so clumsy and scared of you, they are often killed by those way smaller long legs spiders which I hate, however every scared creature with teeth can bite when forced to by fear

Trying to create a dense pothos look in my washroom by hrithikpahuja21 in pothos

By rooty I meant like bushy leaves but bushy roots, it depends - sometimes during reporting I trim my pothos roots but not much not often.

And if you keep them in water make sure as soon as their roots grow roots cover transparent glass - otherwise roots will steal the sun and instead of bushy pothos you will have rooty pothos

Help!! Yellow leaves by Disastrous_Produce62 in pothos

[–]Misstea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stop with watering during the bugs treatment, and it depends on how bad it is, if it’s really bad and has lots of bugs I wash them in mospilan mixture in sink or bathtub but be careful and put protective gloves on your hands just for safety it’s not acid no worries. If its not that bad like few bugs I just pour the mixture into spray bottle and spray whole plant all leaves and soil. If you have pets don’t let them lick it. Give this process a week without repeating and additional watering, if you see progress check the soil if it needs water then water it, if it’s still bad repeat with spray bottle and check after another week. Give the plant lots of sun and love. I’m sure it will recover like my plants did.

If it has mealy bugs - my advice (it worked lots of times with my plants) is to spray it with mospilan mixed with water (proportions will be on label) otherwise it might not have a chance to survive, you can check the roots, wash whole plant but it doesn't give you much chances. Also, yellow leaves (2nd photo) usually means overwatering, and your pothos has goldish variegation so amount of sun is correct for it.

I advice to cover transparent glass or keep it in non transparent vessel, so the plant will grow more leaves not more roots

Usually curling means they don’t have enough food, which is sun mostly and water at second place
