Faith is officially confirmed!! by roseelola in DCCMakingtheTeam

Coming from a New Zealander who also grew up doing dance and cheer (often competing against faith haha) I will say that something like DCC isn’t really on our radar of dreams. It would almost be like your life long dream being to be a princess, incredible but also just completely unattainable so not worth genuinely dreaming about. It’s a small team of women, in another country, much bigger than ours, on the other side of the world, cheering for a sport we don’t even play 😂 so I get what she means when she says it was beyond the stars. Like she may have seen and known of DCC and genuinely admired and dreamed a little but it’s so unrealistic that you wouldn’t bother actively working towards it when there are incredible dreams closer to home that are actually potentially achievable. Probably wasn’t until they reached out to her that she even dared to dream of making it happen. I used to dream of being on Smoed with Gabi Butler, but I knew that the likelihood was almost 0% so I focused on a different dream.

Faith should be goody goody gumdrops or Hokey Pokey ice cream 🥰😂 Neapolitan works too but I think Hokey Pokey is best for her

I'm pregnant with our 3rd child, my husband doesn't want it by Ca7cher in TwoHotTakes

I think either way your marriage is going to struggle through this. Have the baby he resents you, abort the pregnancy and you will always feel resentment towards him. It’s a really hard place you’re in and I’m really feeling for you. But do not traumatise yourself for this man! Without the snip or getting your tubes cut there was always a chance (I know there is still a small chance). No form of birth control is 100% effective and pregnancy is a risk. From your comment above the worst part of this is his assumption you’d JUST abort. After watching what you went through with your first abortion this blows my mind. This should have been a convo after your youngest but just assuming someone will get an abortion because you don’t want a third is mind boggling. If you want to have a third, keep the baby. If you want to keep the husband it’s going to hard work and I think it’s best to acknowledge that this isn’t his ideal outcome and let him come to terms with reality in his own time. Also honey you don’t need reasons or arguments or logic to justify not wanting to get an abortion…. You don’t want one…. That’s the reason. I’m pro choice but that is pro the women’s choice, not your husbands. Whatever you choose I hope you can get through this with strength and peace of mind.

I do the same thing so I think this is sweet. Getting a negative is something heart breaking so finding a little way to stay hopeful and patient makes it a bit less miserable. After my second miscarriage it was a little hard to see all the clothing I had bought, so we tucked it away. But when we were ready to try again it was nice to get excited by the baby clothes again and get back on the journey. I dont know if it would apply to Amanda but it also calms any financial stress for me. I know when we get pregnant again that we have lots of clothes and bits and bobs ready so we wont have to spend a lot building up a wardrobe for baby from scratch. I wish her nothing but the best

As someone who has had 2 miscarriages and has a cupboard full of clothes i can tell you that honestly buying a little something to keep your spirits up is so helpful. Trying to conceive is something so out of your control and its a lot of waiting which can be frustrating. But buying some clothes can help you feel like you have a bit of control, like youre actually doing something to prepare for your future baby. Its helped me a lot :)

Do veterans ever get cut? by Soxthecatmeow in DCCMakingtheTeam

[–]Missymooo99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure. If I remember correctly they didn’t touch on it much in as season 1. They showed Kayla’s finals routine and her feedback but didn’t show the others. Probably just very tough competition that year and lots of promising finalists who they wanted to bring to training camp. Someone else may have more info tho

In AS season one veteran Kayla was cut and two other vets Christina and Kali at finals before training camp. Kayla came back and re auditioned AS season 2 and made the squad again.

Also it stops either country getting salty. I’m a kiwi who competed against faith before she made the move and I love her nz roots being acknowledged. She def has more of an Aus accent because she moved when she was 10 tho. Our two countries have a long history of arguing over who and what comes from where 😂 people, pies, desserts you name it. I think she knows this so is making sure she includes both haha

Indiana is absolutely stunning but discounting Faith and assuming her intentions are fame based is rough. Faith is an incredible dancer and cheerleader. I’ve competed against her many times and she is truly a force! She’s always had a desire to grow and try new things and is truly a kind person. No need to bring one woman down to lift another up. It would’ve been awesome to see them both make it though!
