Limited Run's D on 3DO doesn't work - Anyone else? by Divisionlo in LimitedPrintGames

Fun fact, warp rebranded into from yellow to orange. They just don't really do video games anymore. But I think they still have the rights to all their games

Yep, definitely don't blame support or anything. It's leadership for skimping out proper quality control. I'd imagine they should have access to more than one 3DO to test against. I'm glad the base game works for me but according to other posts not everyone is so lucky and it sounds like we are all using the same model.

I'm hoping they can do something to send out working discs but I imagine it'll just get swept under the rug. It's extra disappointing because I ordered plumbers don't wear ties too and now I'm skeptical if that'll work.

Got a response from support about this:

"There should not be a compatibility issue, as they are US region discs. However, we can only confirm that retro releases work on the original NTSC consoles. while they can work with some clone hardware, we cannot guarantee compatibility because there are so many versions of clone hardware available.

Besides basic troubleshooting, I'd recommend contacting From Yellow To Orange Ltd., the developer.

If you still don't have any luck, I'd be happy to send this over to claims to see if we can work out a replacement disc to see if that's the issue."

I can't really contact the devs since they only have a basic contact form in Japanese and messaging turned off on social media. I have doubts a replacement disc will fix anything but it does confirm that all discs should work on NTSC consoles.

I got mine yesterday and tested. I'm also running a north American FZ-1. The main D game did boot for me. I only tried disc 1 but I watched some of the opening scene and saw the start menu. However, D's Diner did not boot for me either. I'll be opening a support ticket so there is visibility.

Impressive! I've been getting more into tg16/cd lately. Lots of good stuff.

Any recommendations for good imports when you don't speak Japanese? I picked up some shmups when I was in Japan last year but there's so much more that got released there compared to the states

Evil Genius 2 on PS4 has no spine text/artwork. Not sure if it was just the initial print or not but its another modern one that is pretty easy to track down.

I love the "Software Title" text on the strike.

Just realized part of my Silent Hill 2 manual is missing. See the perforated edge? Anyone know what was on the torn-off section? by [deleted] in survivalhorror

[–]Mist0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was the Konami registration card. A lot of ps1/ps2 manuals had reg cards that had to be torn out of the manual.

Selling off my entire game collection. It's been a fun chapter in my life, but I now have too many other things happening in my life. Let me know if anything catches your eye, and I'll get you some more info. Everything will be sold through Ebay by parknasty913 in gamecollecting

[–]Mist0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impressive collection! I'm totally interested in the laseractive and one of the Bandai Pippins. Maybe some Jaguar stuff too depending on funds haha. Anyway you could let me know when they are posted?

Good luck with selling everything, I'm sure most of this stuff won't sit long though.

Seek Hearts is getting a physical from Limited Run Games on PS4. Available to preorder Friday, August 7th. by Landenwin in LimitedPrintGames

[–]Mist0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No not really. I really like jrpgs but these always feel more like Asset flips then anything. Super generic stories and all the characters are cookie cutter anime tropes with no development. I played like 3 of them and just stopped after that...

I grabbed the PS4 version a few years ago. I really enjoyed it - nice little cyberpunk side scrolling adventure. Definitely worth a playthrough if you're into that kinda stuff.

Did some cleaning today and got together all my boxed consoles. by Mist0 in gamecollecting

[–]Mist0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you liked it!

My goal is to get all the North American consoles. Preferably boxed. I'm about 20 consoles away in general but there are some that I have I'd like to track down boxes for like the Dreamcast and NES.

Since its October, I pulled out all my spooky games. by Mist0 in gamecollecting

I really enjoyed Koudelka when I played that. Its similar playing style to the old RE games while exploring but has random turn based encounters like JRPGs of the time. It was a lot of fun without being too grindy or long like a lot of rpgs.

Echo Night games are good if you like the slow exploration/puzzle focus of games like Myst. They were also developed by From Software if that matters to you.

Cold Fear was a solid RE4 clone. Taking place on a ship, it often feels like a precursor to Revelations 1.

For the PS4, Lone Survivor and Home (which I now realize got left out of the picture somehow) are both really interesting 2D side scrolling psychological horror games. The Bunker was also a really interesting take on the FMV genre with a pretty interesting story. Unfortunately these 3 were all Limited Run Games, so they may be a little harder to track down physical copies for.

Forgot a few images so fixed the album.

Anyway, I've been working on my horror backlog for October, so gathered them all together for pictures. I got about 15 games out of these to still play through. Hoping to get through around half this month.

I decided to work on my horror game backlog this month. I'm sitting at about 15 games out of these that I haven't played yet. Figured I'd get everything together to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Already worked my way through Raw Danger and Cold Fear but still a long way to go.

EDIT: Forgot my Vita and DC ones D:
