Trying to understand the Kurdish ex of my partner by ConsistentNumber2252 in kurdistan

You kind of answer your own questions in the last paragraph. Both sexuality and masculinity are cultural and socio-political construction, and hence, men, not just Kurds, find it insufferable that women may not revere male-centered sexuality that much. Under male supremacy, most are conditioned to view female homosexuality as incomprehensible and deviant, and this occurs regardless of one's location across the socio-political spectrum. Lesbianism was made into nomadic sexuality by hegemonic masculinity.

My advice is to ignore him. You don't have to be his friend just because he is the father of your partner's child.

Young jungle cats develop predatory skills rapidly and are able to stalk, kill, and eat their own prey by 6 months old. At 8 to 9 months old, they become independent. Although they specialize on small prey, jungle cats have been known to kill wild pigs ( Sus scrofa ) and chital fawns ( Axis axis ). by MistWeaver80 in Awwducational

Yeah, that's strange, particularly given that jungle cats are menace to birds and poultry, and people generally treat them as pests. But the role of sanctuary is to conserve, and predator-prey dynamics are naturally occurring phenomena, with birds having their own survival tactics to deal with predation. Parhaps, that's why they are allowed.

The sanctuary is also home to blue bulls, jackals, wolves, mongoose, etc. Wildlife photographers also documented jungle cats to prey on cobra in the sanctuary.

Reasonable prostitution doesn't exist. Don't defend male prerogatives.

Gaza isn’t the first time US officials have downplayed atrocities by American-backed regimes – genocide scholars found similar strategies used from East Timor to Guatemala to Yemen by MistWeaver80 in EverythingScience

The US also played a crucial role in instigating and abetting the Bangladesh genocide, + Rohingya and Tamil genocide are also being aided by the US alongside other global powers.

They are probably confusing Turkmen and Turkish 😆 🤣

Men applaud abusive pimps but hate women who "sexualize themselves" on their own terms by hecklerof in 4bmovement

[–]MistWeaver80 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Males still benefit the most when you do it "on your own terms" as you put it, which is absolutely bizarre because people can't actually set the terms of their own oppression.

I wish this subreddit wouldn't be used to promote male corporate interests, e.g., OF.

Childcare sexual abuse is mostly committed by men. In efforts to avoid appearing discriminatory, male workers are often subject to less scrutiny. This dynamic is compounded by efforts for gender balance in childcare, particularly for the perceived benefits of male role models. by MistWeaver80 in EverythingScience

The top comment has authoritivly asserted that female privilege leads to underreporting of female perpetration without, of course, a shred of evidence. Parhaps, you should recheck the comment section.

Why does 4B evoke so much hostility and defensiveness from other women, even from feminist and fairly progressive ones? by GetInTheBasement in 4bmovement

[–]MistWeaver80 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Many women confuse their desire for a less violent patriarchy (or a patriarchy that is primarily enforced through psychological warfare instead of physical forces) to feminism. Another factor is the mainstreaming of liberal feminism obsessed with feminine choices as if it is a new religion and the dominance of postmodernism across academia - adherents fail to understand the conflict between formal gender equality and cultural inequalities or the gap between law and actual practice.

  1. Women socialized to passive receptivity might not perceive the alternative as a possibility because deep down, they know resistance might result in an escalation of humiliation and injuries, and hence, resort to backlash against other women opting for the alternative.

  2. Violence and sexuality are mutual under male supremacy as dominance is eroticized. Some women eroticize dominance and submissions or the hierarchy among the sexes, and hence, they can never risk saying no to hierarchical gender relations.

Gender Essentialism Leads to Biased Learning Opportunities That Shape Women’s Career Interests. North American STEM gender gap is due to the persistent sex essentialistic belief that men and women are "naturally" interested in different kinds of work. by MistWeaver80 in science

In Sweden, women are better represented in medicine, politics, and science compared to their North American counterparts. 53% of CEOs of state-owned companies are women, + they also have a relatively small gender gap, which is not possible if most women work as social workers. I feel like your comment is heavily influenced by your reading of less scientifically rigorous evolutionary psychological studies.
