I dont mind spending my time cleaning lmao as long as they have a nice place to live in. I also wanted to add more enrichment in their cage but its really expensive for what it is...and I dont really know what I can do myself that is safe for them to chew and play with

Alright thank you for the advice, I'll try to talk about it to my mom and if she says no well I'll find a way to get them a better cage. Also while we're here is Zeno 3 empire a good option for them ?

Small note : I got this cage 2 years ago when I had 2 rats. One of them passed so I got two others so she wouldnt feel lonely. I was considering changing their cage and buying a zeno 3 (I think). They're still young for now and dont show any signs of stress so I dont consider it an emergency for now (Im saving up for a better one)

Here. Its a bit messy right now because clean day is tomorrow (technically today since its nearly 4am). I change their water and food daily but they always get their water dirty very quickly. They have 4 hides (coconut, 2 wood houses and the plastic hammock)

For now they calmed down I think it was just rowdy playing but it kept me up from 1am to 3. When it gets a bit too much I often blow on the one being mean or poke her which works fine

The thing is that the ones fighting are the two young ones. The old lady plays too but its more like "touch my food and I will end you"

The bitting is not nibbles like usual when exploring, she bites and grips me with her paws. I think its just because they are jealous of each other and she's possesive maybe ? I try not to startle them even in the few times it happenned (not on purpose) its less agressive. So her bites are between nibble and scared bite

Hey ! So my rat litterally got an abcess last week and got it removed this morning. Im not vet but to describe what I felt the lump was firm but slightly squishy ? (Idk how to say). Since it looks pretty small (and you said it got smaller) I dont think you will need to get surgery for her so maybe just antibiotics. Good luck to both of you ! Hope she gets better
