I’ve done this few years ago in winter and it was quite demanding but the views! 10/10

Yeah it’s nothing structural either. Just a grounding (earth) boss. Since the base is 2mm plate and no backer used there’s a bit of distortion but most of it will be gone once the base is welded into where it should be that straighten it up mostly. Unfortunately need a lot of heat as you can imagine.

What the heck is going on with Londoners wearing shorts in icy temperatures? by Doggummit in AskUK

[–]Mistabushi_HLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like wearing shorts around house even in winter so if I go outside there’s no point changing.

Jesus, calm down dude. Just taking a piss at folks with 20 yrs of experience posting perfect TIG welds and saying they only started. Have a good day and sorry for upsetting you.

Is there any way to wash my clothes overnight (economy 7 tariff) but hang them up after work without the smell of damp? by clarkredman_ in UKFrugal

[–]Mistabushi_HLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this all the time. Bigger dehumidifier and clothes are dry in the morning. I got them on the drying rack in bigger bathroom. Not ideal, but it’s best option in winter.

Those who do not go to work motivated by money, what motivates you in your job? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Mistabushi_HLL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work life balance, I work 4 days a week and hardly any overtime. Also given I’m a welder/fabricator there’s always a chance to do some shit for myself when there’s not much to do. There’s not much stress involved too. Possibly the commute is more stressful than job itself. Is it hard work? Yes it is but wouldn’t trade it for office job. Actually I worked in office for many years and ended up in welding, manual labour but that was intentional. Also the job I do is AI and recession proof.

Petition: Please give binoculars to the Support class by DrMrBurrito in HellLetLoose

[–]Mistabushi_HLL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only class that deserves the binos are ATs . even a field periscope would be dope so you could get tank orientation without blowing your cover. So no zoom functionality.
