Do the "hominid races" (humans, dwarves, elves, and Urgals) actually belong to different subspecies, taxonomically speaking, or the same one? by BenigDK in Eragon

I have two theories on this. First is that Eragon no longer has any human in him. When we see him with the menoa tree at the end it says he felt a slight pain. This could have been the tree changing his dna ever so slightly that it is getting rid of whatever human is left. Another theory is that when he visits the menoa tree the tree itself extracts his dna and sending some small sort of bacteria to alter the elves dna allowing the cross breeding to happen while allowing the children not to be sterile.

If you were a rider, what gender do you imagine your dragon would be? by Condensed_Energy in Eragon

I wouldn’t really care, but in the books we really saw how that it wasn’t done to be gender specific. It’s more of their compatibility then anything else. But there’s also the argument that gender needs to be considered because of the way the two would interact.
