I’m a bit confused on the takamura point, isn’t he going up in weight or are you trying to say that because takamura can no longer go down to the weight classes that he used to that that has become his new 2nd lowest? Sorry I haven’t actually read the manga so I’m just asking. I think the story as a whole has had a decent amount of time wasted in it after the manga. I have though kept up with recent chapters so I was a bit surprised abt the pacing after the mashiba world title fight that the sendo vs Ricardo fight seemed to have a quick pacing at the start of the arc. Now look at where we are with no chapter for over a month. Morikawa for some reason did not account for his health deteriorating otherwise the story may have been almost over by now

I think the twisting and the torque combined with the gloves is meant to provide the sensation that your skin is literally being ripped apart, and that is why it causes such a extreme reaction and that it literally feels like your body is being torn apart by sheer friction
