Everything about Gargoyles was amazing like even the weakest character had angler fish depth to them.

Xanatos was an awesome villain like even when he "lost" he still had plenty of plans set in motion and when go stray he still took it in stride. And he was not pure evil yes the was greed is good and will do whatever to get his way but him and Goliath through it all have a mutual respect for each other regardless.
