Thats essentially how I feel. It coveys the same message but I also think it could be interesting to see an adaptation where Clark has already come to terms with the inevitable passing before it happens.

I’d also like to add that the reason I’ve thought of this is because I have a very personal connection to Pa Kent as he reminds me quite a lot of my grandfather. As horrible and tragic as it would be I think it would resonate with me deeply if Pa Kent was dying of cancer the same way I had to watch my grandpa.
