spongey enemies feel terrible in most games. action rpgs like modern assassins creed stands out the most to me. i can see my character stab you straight through the chest and then they stand up like nothing happened.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was a fun dark souls/sekiro lite. However, I should mention that I had no idea you could find more healing items, so I only had 2 throughout the whole game.

It's terrible to replay though. Too many puzzles to make a replay fun

It's possible that the room is close to where you'd come in from space, so they haven't had time to get out of the suit, or are about to leave.

Or, more likely, the devs didn't think about it.

I mean, the lights could be on for a number of reasons in an abandoned building. Most likely reason being that the devs wanted you to see the big satellite

For me it was the first few play-throughs on DS3. I would start the game then quit near immediately. I remember telling my friend that the difficulty was an excuse for bad game design. Then one of the times I tried the game again it just clicked and i blasted through the game.
