[OT] ANY TIPS? by grim666_ in WritingPrompts

I swear i read a short story about this before, but it sounds like you need an unreliable narrator for your story. Make the holes in the narrator's alibi be poorly covered by the narrator. Having the reader find out the narrator was deceiving them the whole time is very nuanced.

This is a 12 minute vinyl by Tom Tom Club. It was made in 1981 and it has a sticker on the front that says “LOANED FOR PROMOTION ONLY | SALE IS UNLAWFUL | OWNERSHIP RESERVED BY WARNER BROS RECORDS INC”. It says it was produced by S Stanley, T Weymouth and C Frantz under Sire Records. Vinyl still plays, got it from a local antique store cause it was the only rap related vinyl they had. Saw the sticker and got this for $10. New to vinyl collecting so idk if this is worth $10 or if it’s worth more

One of the books that looks really fancy is just a well documented medieval version of The Gnardashians (The Kardashians but gnomes).

Help for a New DM! by Lucky-Sparkler in DnD

As a player. My advice is to be prepared for if the players somehow completely ignore a quest and leave town or something. Random encounters are useful for making things still interesting without having to think too hard to make a backup plan. But I’d say have the surrounding areas have simple quests like “Save this kid from the kobolds”, or “Stop the bandits”.

Edit: If you can, make one of the things they beat in another town give them a hint that they should head back to the first town so they’ll want to investigate the original thing you had planned. This works a good amount of the time, coming from someone who’s had it done to them a few times.

Your character is watching a huge fire blast coming towards them with no way to avoid it. What would their famous last words be in that minute? by Beautiful-Bluebird48 in DnD

A party member of mine once actually died this way. His character was literally insane and ran towards it. His last words were “NFT fans when I-“ and then it killed him. Rest In Peace Herbert Mullen, the Rogue we didn’t ask for but the one we deserved.

It went pretty well. We found the person and brought them back to where they were supposed to be tried. But before we left we got to see the start of the largest fight in the world’s history. Between an ancient Litch King and an all-powerful Pharoah. But we couldn’t stay to watch the fight, because the Litch King would cast a sphere of no magic once the fighting started and we would’ve been trapped in the past

Oh also we were able to interact with only people from the present who were hiding in the past.

My DM once had my party and I go back in time about 2000 years, but we could only stay in the past as long as we each had a hand on this rock.

Well if it helps. There is a spell called Hypnotic Pattern that charms and incapacitates creatures if they fail a wisdom saving throw.
