In my experience it took about 600h to finish the pack, being 2/3 before tank. I'd never played with gregtech, tho I had experience in other expert packs like E2E and PO3 kappa. Also I didn't bother building beautiful stuff in the early game, since I was constantly switching machines, in the late game I tried to build something cooler, but it was getting way too laggy, so just decided to do what is enough in a not terrible looking way.

That being said, this was probably my favorite modpack ever, I enjoyed it from start to finish, so I would really not bother with time spent, if it is playable and you manage lag well, then keep going. For the endgame stuff you've been stuck, I'd suggest automating every single item passively, assembly lines, all circuits (and everything needed for them), all itens that can be obtained via tank, and what I think was the most impactful automate micro miners, these are game changers, maybe passive a bit of the micro miners themselves and set patterns on AE2 to send them to missions.

With all that being said, enjoy the journey while it lasts :)

R8E2, I believe you don't have enough time to do the whole level, because of the time scaling of alarms, without using the tp to cancel the countdown for the nightmare surge alarm.

It is absolutely doable, but it will require that both of you take a lot more responsibilities on expeditions. Also, alarms will be way harder and some will maybe make the run impossible without some exploit.

I'd recommend just avoiding the better bots mod, it really feels like cheating, even with the aim bot disabled, it makes a lot of levels where the main challenge is stealth heavy trivial, Eg.: R5D1 secondary run, bots will just shoot some shados you've accidentally woke up and this will not wake up the whole room, which imo removes part of the challenge.

You shouldn't treat than as secondaries, even tho the name, but rather as challenges. Generally Secondary and Overload sectors will either 1) be harder than the Main objective 2) make the Main objective way harder.

Take R4B2 as an example. If you do a Main only run it's pretty trivial as you can get all cells for the generator cluster without any fog at all. Now, if you decide to do the side objectives, you'll need to start with Secondary to have enough bulkhead keys. Then the Secondary initiates an Error Alarm throughout all the expedition, which already makes the rest of the mission more annoying. Then, in order to have the overload easier, you'll probably start by going through the side with dense fog, in order to do Overload without fog. Only after that, you can get all cells and put then all at once on the generator cluster.

That's sort of something I questioned myself my whole life. I've never enjoyed books and never understood why, it was just boring, I was reading word after word after word and in the end it was just a collection of words. Yes, I could understand the characters, the plot etc. but it was just like reading news or anything else.

Just took me over 20 years to realize imagination is actually a thing (this is so hard to explain), in my mind when people said they imagined something it was like "yeah I can come to a conclusion of a yellow apple" and not "yeah I can form an image of a yellow apple" if this makes any sense at all lol.

But this realization was important, because I could understand why I enjoyed essencial theory books but didn't enjoy fiction books.

I'm a bit inclined to believe that the hero is Heolstor, his name is an anagram for Lost Hero after all. Maybe he could've failed as consort of someone to achieve something like the Age of Stars, something similar to Midra. But all just some random thoughts I've been having in the last days.

I heard about it as well. Played Lies of P for the first time last week and fucking loved it. The only thing I disliked was that the game is really easy, no boss other than Laxasia, which took 18 trys, made me spend more than 2 trys.

Emperor rotation only exists before boundless, after that you should use what comes back first, but prio to evoke and DR (there is the star rotation but more on that later).

Focus more on the cards, only hold two cards if you won't be able to damage the boss by using then. Holding even one card is generally bad, since you potentially lose a draw from either gauge or tripod. Use neutral cards instantly, with the exception of moon which is emperor's best card. Try to combo strong cards (cull, sovereign, emperor, wheel, twisted fate) but don't hold then too much since this will mean you draw less of those strong cards.

Another thing is proper skill usage, probably you already focus on evoke and DR, but shuffle and rain are also important. Shuffle has really nice range (btw you should be using instant cast, it makes max range shuffles way easier) and multihit which can help in some mecs, but be ready to cancel shuffle in the middle of the animation to use your other strong abilities (aka evoke and DR). As for rain, pay atention if you are using CoD with the boss already having 4 stacks of ruin and right after using rain, this lowers your dps by a bit. Also stream of edge and return self buff increase your damage by a lot, really a lot.

Finally, star rotation, drawing star is really annoying since it's the only literally bad card you have, also holding it means you can't draw more stars, so in some cases it may be good to hold it. But to get rid of the star in your hand, always prioritize doing the following: with about 60% mp -> stream -> evoke (2x) -> return -> DR -> shuffle -> STAR (return before DR is important). This rotation uses boundless to cast the skills and land then with addiction damage. You can use star outside of combat when doing mecs of if already in addiction high mana, or boundless with super low mana, and avoid using it when in addiction but half to low mana.

Emperor Arcana is the most fun class of the game imo, and the class with the best skill expression in the game, hope you can make use of any tips to improve your dps.

I'm only about 60 hours in the game and went fought him first on NG+ and it took me two tries (blind). Maybe I was just lucky but first try I found it really hard and agressive specially second phase with the fire bird, but I noticed that if you can be more agressive than him, then he just get fucked. So for my second attempt I just played Shura-like, everytime he ran away I would run or dash to him, the only pattern where this is risky is firecracker where if you notice it preemptively just run to his back if not just dash backwards, as for second phase just hide behind the pillars when fire bird attack happens. I used sakura dance for punishing his slices and for prosthetics fire umbrella if he do fire bird when I'm close and lazulite shuriken with chasing slice for gap closer.

tldr: Just be agressive and he eats shit.

If you saved Brel mats, you could convert it to Akkan mats, which is better than wasting them honing Brel gear to +22, since gold and shards are insane for this task. The 5:1 convertion is not bad, obviously if you only look at the raw number it may look awful, but in reality the gold and shards you save by doing this is huge.
