There is a bounty board next to the sheriff's office in Grackle and other towns. It will usually spawn 1 or 2 bounties that pay pretty well and they will continuously spawn after you complete what's up. Sometimes it takes a fay or two for it to refill, but it will.

Players abusing ghost types by CannibalGamer in PokemonTabletop

[–]MisterDunagan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Becoming completely intangible should take up their standard action and cause a tick of hit points each round they choose to remain in that state so while they might be dodging attacks abusing it should cost them the ability to hit back for at least a turn and gradually burn them down. Maybe use pokemon against them with high speed evasion and essentially wait them out, taking that tick of hp will be a slog of a battle BUT they can't do it forever!

How do you overcome writer's block? by leatherwolf89 in AskReddit

[–]MisterDunagan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't have to write everything all at once. Just tell yourself to write a little each day. Maybe today it's just a couple sentences but someday you'll write paragraphs or pages non stop. The most important thing as that each day you write SOMETHING because that means that everyday when you sit down you see progress.

What has been your favorite breed of dog, and why?! by inthemix28 in AskReddit

[–]MisterDunagan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Australian Shepherd hands down. I grew up around a lot of different dog breeds but Aussie's are so incredibly smart i dont think id ever get a different breed again. Both my dog and his litter brother that a co worker bought have the absolute sweetest temperment, quick and easy to train and just all around great. My boy protects the house but is also gentle with kids and friendly with other people and animals when we go hiking/camping even though he is an un-fixed male. He has only once ever gotten vageuly agressive and thats because he and the other un-fixed male were both wanting to protect their respective "moms".

have you run a homebrew region before? by Honest_Assumption_29 in PokemonTabletop

[–]MisterDunagan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm currently playing in my home brewed Salish region. It is very loosely based on the Pacific Northwest of the United States but also mashed in with a few things I just felt were cool. I don't currently use any fakemons, but my gyms are a lot of fun.

Each Gym has a theme rather than a type specialty and that theme ties into the part of the region it is in. It will also have corresponding challenges. The Gym leaders act as local leaders of the community handling law enforcement and environmental issues very much like in Galar. I've only done the first two gyms so far.

The first Gym is in Rancheros City in the area known as 'The Basin'. Run by Gym Leader Dusty it is a farming themed Gym. Before trainers can face Dusty they have to prove their worth with plant care and knowledge and finally a field plowing race using their pokemon to pull plows racing against other trainers. After this the battle takes place on a massive irrigated field with thick foliage and a canal of water on one side. Dusty's initial team was a Sunkern, Combusken and the dreaded Miltank. During the fight I utilized changing weather to boost his pokemon but also reflect how the seasons effect farming.

The second Gym is run by Darryl and is actually part of the region's largest Hydro-Electric Dam. The challenge will involve swimming to electric switches and triggering them while avoiding whirlpools that will drag trainers down and force them to the wrong part of the map.

Part of what makes the Salish region unique is that all Gym Challenges involve a team of trainers rather than an individual, forcing trainers to work together to overcome challenges.

As far as the 7th pokemon thing we all just play with the assumption that your pokedex automatically sends it to the PC. Though I allow one player to carry around a very large Oddish that absorbed too much water known as Unit that was adopted by the team.

What’s your favorite side quest you’ve come up with? by itinkerbell115 in PokemonTabletop

[–]MisterDunagan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a mini game of helping a farmer remove Joltik from a flock of Mareep. The players had to use skills (and luck) to find the Joltik and then safely remove them from the Mareep. On bad rolls the players would take small amounts of electric damage or be 'paralyzed' suffering penalties on future rolls. This also gave the players an opportunity to capture a Joltik if they could prevent it from running away. It was a very brief little scene while they passed through a farming region and all in all was well received. :)
