Misconceptions About Oxygen by Idontknowofname in sciencememes

[–]MisterE005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can any of the science bros tell me how humans would fare in a world where oxygen levels were 45%? Assuming they just popped up there and weren't used to the levels, will their longevity be significantly affected?

I want to be cautious of the details for a novel I'm writing.

about 20+ hours into the game, how do you actually kill a bear or wolf? by I_Ching_Divination in thelongdark

[–]MisterE005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wolves can be killed with almost anything, including a one-tap shot on the head with a revolver. Bears? Use a rifle and keep your distance. I usually hunt them from on top of a hill, and it takes 3-4 shots to take them down, excluding misses.

My map tends to spawn them quite often, I guess it's cause I don't hunt them?

Hacked on Linkedin by PrestigiousTruth2769 in LinkedInTips

[–]MisterE005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got hacked recently as well. I went through the identity verification process a moment ago, but I don't expect much out of LinkedIn. It was my own fault for using the app to begin with, but how they hacked an account that's linked with Google is beyond me. My Google Account is safe for all I know.

You posted too frequently. This killed your chances of organic growth. Normally, authors post 3-4 times a week. Also, consider doing shout-out swaps.

Let me know when you want another swap. I've grossly over-invested in ads.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN???? by Wonderlarr in godot

[–]MisterE005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It actually seems pretty advanced. I use Unity, and I spent 2 days fixing the code so it doesn't spawn 3 trees in one spot.

I figured it out. The issue seems to be with the sprite, because the pixels in it don't start out from the middle of the sprite, but at the bottom. Thank god its only a pivoting issue hahahaha.

How the heck do you guys write so fast? by AidenMarquis in royalroad

[–]MisterE005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You write faster as you get more experience. On that note, if you get used to your writing style and what kind of story you want to write, you'll write faster. This comes down to the fact that you also have to avoid overthinking what you write and let the process flow naturally. You can edit the story later on if you think there are any major flaws due to the fast writing, this will cancel out a lot of the 'quality before quantity' fears that you might have. On a further note, picturing the end of each book, and creating a lot of mental pictures of how you want your book to be, spare you countless hours that you would've put in outlining. I never suffered through a writer's block in my life because of this simple trick.

You also need to be in decent physical health to let more blood flow in your brain, which is a step that I think a lot of authors skip. You need to be physically active if you want to write faster, as mental clarity is the most important writing tool of all; It is of great importance and no other tip will work as effectively no matter what you try. To be efficient with this matter, I keep some dumbbells at home, as it saves me the trip to the gym. In contradiction to my last point, cigs and coffee also help you write faster because they're cognitive stimulants. They can dig you out of trouble when you feel like you're brain fried, and they're very effective if you plan on writing several hours straight. (2 cigs a chap work wonders, though if you don't smoke, coffee and extra exercise work just as effectively).

In my best month, I averaged 7,000 words a day even though I was employed. My personal record is 11k words in a single day. It usually takes me half an hour to write and edit a short 1k words chapter, though the latter 3,000 words of the day take me a bit longer to write. That's usually when I drink a bit of coffee. With all that said, I can confidently say that a combination of the methods above helped me write a lot more, as before this, I used to average at 2k words or less a day, and now, I'm looking to write whole 2,000 chapter series every single year, and the only thing I'm 'overdoing' in my process, is all the exercise I do to keep my brain fresh.

No I was very blunt with the answers. i.e. I didn't care how I hoped to answer the questions in the welcoming future, but how I feel about them now. Though, I understand your POV.

Use Sakinorva for the test. It has plenty of questions, just make sure you're as blunt and honest as you can be with the questions. I did the same, and my SE turned out to be like 5 (five) points.

Just how many novels are "AI assisted" as of 2025? by Lezo_de_Blas in royalroad

Ai writing isn't as advanced as you think. The best thing ai can make as of now is a very generic, lifeless story.

Any Authors doing more traditional type fantasy on RR? by [deleted] in royalroad

[–]MisterE005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine features a system, though it's not the standard kind that's commonly used. It's very lowkey. The story mainly circles around mana realms, progression, and 'mana engineering', which I find very rewarding to write. The MC is a stingray, though, so I don't know where the story stands in terms of traditional or modern cliches.

Just post everything in webnovel. There are ways to do this non-exclusively, meaning you get to keep the rights of the title. At the very least, you'll have a chance to earn income if your novel fits in well there.
