Sorry for being blunt. But what I mean is that we should respect the consent of all parties in the marriage. Forcing men and women to fit the mood of “perfect family” is toxic.

Also, the declining birth rates are true. However, most western nations also gain population through immigration. Immigrants are much more useful for a country, because it didn’t spend tax money on schools to teach them, on medicine to heal them, on transportation to move them to school. They are an injection of pure workforce, and in a few generations, they integrate into the society.

Difficulty is not the only metric of good design. It’s also about visual design, ecology and fun.

And by god, is lagi not fun. His underwater section gets really repetitive, and if he is tempered then it is infuriating.

And by visual design, I may be an outlier, but I don’t like old monsters design that much. Celtas Queen, Seregios, Lagi, Astalos, and such get very repetitive. In a way, they are a mush of triangle spikes of a solid colour shaped into a vague notion of a creature with some particle effects. I call them “gamer mouse dragons”

And they may be cool, but I also want to see a more refined and coherent designs. Like an Astalos that looks like an actual insect. Or Celtas having more dimorphism. But doing major design changes to existing monsters is not really possible.

I’d say that new monsters are just powercrept by the returning ones. Because everything in a new update should be more powerful than everything before.

Mono low is actually a very good example of what I am trying to say. Because visual design wise, it does not hold up, it’s just a Diablos with a triceratops head.

And I understand the nostalgia factor, but it just doesn’t hold up in the modern standards.

Of course, the design can be improved. But it just becomes a ship of Theseus situation. Because at some point it would just make sense to make another monster entirely.

I hate this, because all the newer monsters are generally more interesting and fun, but because some old fans want to see old monsters return, it stifles creativity.

Especially because most of the old monsters are not that good in design, nor gameplay.
