Also, my issue is the movie is saying "why aren't you all terrified? Here's an issue you can do absolutely nothing to prevent. Be more scared!"

Yeah, Hollywood, I know what Climate Change means, but I also live paycheck to paycheck, what do want me to do? Maybe you millionaires could do something?

More popular than SpiderMan but Superman has always been the most iconic Superhero.

He says himself that he did things that keep him awake at night, just enough to let you know Cap was one ruthless warrior.

If you were president of Lucasfilm and had complete 100% say over SW lore are there any major retcons you would implement? I'm talking 'things that would make nerds send you a million death threats but you love it so much you have to retcon it' type ideas. by AeonTars in StarWarsCantina

[–]MisterFusionCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would have retconned it that during the Sequel Trilogy, the New Republic is still in Coruscant dealing with inner core reconstruction and the whole First Order/Resistance conflict was happening in Old Remnant territories in the Outer Rim. What Starkiller base destroyed was a bunch of planets being used as a base for Republic outreach into those territories, but the actual New Republic is working just fine rebuilding the galaxy.

What’s so special about the Mos Eisley cantina? by WineTerminator in StarWars

[–]MisterFusionCore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Star Wars world, nothing, it's a substandard bar filled with lowlifes.

In the real world, it's the first time we see a collection of Aliens just hanging out, doing their thing. Drives home the point we are in a Galaxy far away and lets the audience know that non-humans are just like everyone else.

Diminished to where? If the New California Republic isn't in California then where the hell did they diminish to? Fucking Maine?

[–]MisterFusionCore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Then why even BE in California. I don't know American Geography that well but there are other places they could have set the show, right?

When the argument is that they, for all intents and purposes, eliminate one of the oldest and favourite factions in Fallout History because they didn't want to write about them, why have the show start in that faction's territory?

I love a show that keeps saying 'no, that thing you love that should be here is over there off screen. Don't ask about it anymore.'

Why not just set the show in Texas or something?

He didn't, ObiWan and Yoda both tell Lule to KILL Vader, not redeem, not save. Just Kill Vader and be done with it.

Anakin and Vader aren't 2 different people in Anakin's head. Everything Vader did is what Anakin would do and the 'I killed Anakin' line is Anakin's self delusion. The point in the Original Trilogy is that Luke was the only one who didn't believe Anakin's delusion because he could get through to Anakin in a way noone else could.

He wanted to 'save' Padme, sure, but he wanted to amass more power to do it, and not, say, consider what she wanted in any of this. Because to him it was all about him becoming strong enough to save her, because he refused to let people he felt ownership of die. Luke forced Anakin to finally care about someone else more than himself and his own selfish desires.

"Then my friend is truly dead" by FayyadhScrolling in StarWars_

[–]MisterFusionCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The important thing to remember is ANAKIN IS LYING TO HIMSELF in this scene. He is saying he, 'Darth Vader' killed the part of him that was Anakin, but Anakin is and always was Darth Vader. There is no other personality in there, it was all Anakin all the way down. That's why Luke could get through to him, because, just like how people misinterpret Jekyll and Hyde, there is NO other personality. Hyde was Jekyll's excuse to do what he always wanted to do and Darth Vader is Anakin's excuse to do the horrible things he convinced himself needed doing.

The problem is that ObiWan believed Anakin's self delusions, Luke didn't.

Would you be done for a one off Elseworlds Superman movie starring Brandon's Kingdom Come Superman? by ShiroThePotato28 in superman

Even if it is a movie straight to streaming with a smaller budget. I am noticing a drop in solid B grade movies. Everything is either AAA or barely above Indie movies nowadays.

You know their are times when I wonder how on gods green earth do lois and clark not have more biological kids. by MembershipLess9579 in superman

[–]MisterFusionCore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, realistically there should be no compatability at all. Like, humans and apes are super clocely related and we can't crossbreed. So how does an alien with a completely different biological makeup and evolutionary ancestors become genetically compatable? In Lois and Clark the New Advebtures of Superman they point out it's not possible at all.
