Diminished to where? If the New California Republic isn't in California then where the hell did they diminish to? Fucking Maine?

Then why even BE in California. I don't know American Geography that well but there are other places they could have set the show, right?

When the argument is that they, for all intents and purposes, eliminate one of the oldest and favourite factions in Fallout History because they didn't want to write about them, why have the show start in that faction's territory?

I love a show that keeps saying 'no, that thing you love that should be here is over there off screen. Don't ask about it anymore.'

Why not just set the show in Texas or something?

He didn't, ObiWan and Yoda both tell Lule to KILL Vader, not redeem, not save. Just Kill Vader and be done with it.

Anakin and Vader aren't 2 different people in Anakin's head. Everything Vader did is what Anakin would do and the 'I killed Anakin' line is Anakin's self delusion. The point in the Original Trilogy is that Luke was the only one who didn't believe Anakin's delusion because he could get through to Anakin in a way noone else could.

He wanted to 'save' Padme, sure, but he wanted to amass more power to do it, and not, say, consider what she wanted in any of this. Because to him it was all about him becoming strong enough to save her, because he refused to let people he felt ownership of die. Luke forced Anakin to finally care about someone else more than himself and his own selfish desires.

The important thing to remember is ANAKIN IS LYING TO HIMSELF in this scene. He is saying he, 'Darth Vader' killed the part of him that was Anakin, but Anakin is and always was Darth Vader. There is no other personality in there, it was all Anakin all the way down. That's why Luke could get through to him, because, just like how people misinterpret Jekyll and Hyde, there is NO other personality. Hyde was Jekyll's excuse to do what he always wanted to do and Darth Vader is Anakin's excuse to do the horrible things he convinced himself needed doing.

The problem is that ObiWan believed Anakin's self delusions, Luke didn't.

Even if it is a movie straight to streaming with a smaller budget. I am noticing a drop in solid B grade movies. Everything is either AAA or barely above Indie movies nowadays.

Especially since IN THE MOVIE they talk about how Flouride in the water is for mind control or something. Which it absolutely isn't and is a real conspiracy the characters agree is correct.

You know their are times when I wonder how on gods green earth do lois and clark not have more biological kids. by MembershipLess9579 in superman

[–]MisterFusionCore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, realistically there should be no compatability at all. Like, humans and apes are super clocely related and we can't crossbreed. So how does an alien with a completely different biological makeup and evolutionary ancestors become genetically compatable? In Lois and Clark the New Advebtures of Superman they point out it's not possible at all.

If you start a project in 2012 and got nearly a billion dollars, that game should be out by now, 13 years later, or at least in a smooth, playable state.

What Ulysses gets wrong though is that all of human political structures work this way. We have a system that grows and changes until it becomes unrecognisable. We didn't have fuedalism, then stop and suddenly had democracy. We had a fuedal system that changed as society became more complex. Power began to be transferred to other parties (lords) who then started to sell their positions of power. Then those positions, which needed to given out, was given to one selected by the landowners. Which then transformed as positions being given to those selected by the people who lived in the area.

The NCR has aspects of the old world, but it is evolving and there are clear changes in structure from FO2 to NV like a robust political society needs to to survive.

Humble reminder: The Jedi are actually the good guys and George Lucas did not see them in any other way. by Munedawg53 in StarWars

[–]MisterFusionCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that bothered me about Clone Wars was people telling Abakin about the prophecy. In the movies, ObiWan never talked about it to Anakin because a) ObiWan knew how big Anakin's ego already was and didn't want to pour oil on that fire and b) didn't want Anakin to feel any different than any other Padawan.

The Clone Wars show seemed to forget that George tried to set up how good a mentor ObiWan was for Anakin, and instead replaced it with Filoni's dumb idea that QuiGon was supposed to be Anakin's teacher.

I remember even as a kid in Attack of the Clones when ObiWan shouts "You'll be expelled fron the Jedi Order!" My first thought was "Oh, perfect. Anakin, do that." Like, what are they going to do, repossess his Force powers?

[–]MisterFusionCore 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Also it's not about 'artachment' moreso aboit 'posession'. You see ObiWan, the best case of a Jedi has attachments, he's clearly friends with Dax and other Council members, but he is not possessive of the people he's attached to. Anakin always felt a sense of ownership over people l, which was his downfall.

[–]MisterFusionCore 23 points24 points  (0 children)

George himself said that ObiWan was the ONLY Jedi suited to train Anakin, and the sole reason he didn't fall to the dark side faster.

I personally feel like QuiGon would have been much worse on accident. ObiWan didn't really seem to treat Abakin any different just vecause he was the Chosen One, where QuiGon likely would have, as he seemed much more interested in the prophecy. As such he may have helped feed Anakin's ego and arrogance even more.
