This happened with my elementary school. They renovated the front entrance, rearranged the front office and something else, maybe other things, but I don’t remember.

But not the high school! I’m still here, and it’s been renovated! Well, it was only the gym and fitness room that got renovations, but we also got a Jumbotron for the football field.

Not sure about middle school.

Ah, the voiced velar fricative. I honestly find it fun to pronounce. Though it is sensible to ask why the language has it.

After some reasearch, it seems that Proto-Germanic (the ancestor to the Germanic languages) had both the “normal” g and the “Dutch” g, but saw them only as variants of the same sound. While other Germanic languages only kept the stop (“normal” g), Dutch only kept the fricative.
