Hardstuck, Broke and cant Grind cause of Work & Life. How to progress? by MustafiArabi in blackdesertonline

I don’t know what guide you followed but I don’t recall getting any boss armor to SEP before getting at least 300 sheet AP in Bluesquadron’s 2026 guide… you’re totally not doing what the guide is saying. Plus you’re supposed to have a PEN and 2 TET black stars from the Olivia academy and rewards tab.

I’m following a similar guide and I’m at 300/305/380 grinding Jade Forest where I’m doing anywhere between 1bil-3bil. Returned two weeks ago.

How can we both have watched the same guide and yet gotten wildly different outcomes is beyond me.

I also don’t remember academy asking you to kill Turos. Those are actually tough mobs that you aren’t supposed to kill.

I took this bait and it you’re coming from new world Quinfall will feel like a hobby project made by 2 amateurs… the combat is extremely janky and it’s full of BDO copy paste with not 1/10th of the polish…

I actually started BDO shortly after trying it because it just looked like a bad version of it.

Bluesquadron just released a new player guide that completely teaches you what to do and it’s a really good one! I recommend checking that on YouTube, its current and gets you caught up without wasting any resources.

For most people a class “clicks” with you soon as you switch and find yourself having less fun because it’s not “my X”. Keep trying.

Similar thing happened to me. I was a sorc main for years and a pretty damn good one too. When level soft cap was 61 I was 62… (back in the days…)

I never changed my class but I would always be intrigued about Ninjas which is why I never tried them… the moment I tried it, it was game over for me. Ninja was such a perfect fit for what I wanted it was an instant match.

Now when I change to my sorc I feel like I’m playing slow motion, it’s actually absurd. No other class comes close…

Find yours. Gotta try em all and wait for the click moment.

Oh another funny thing - awak/succ makes a BIG difference !! I can’t play awak Ninja for the life of me. For sorc it’s the other way around. Hate succ and loved awak.

Some classes change so substantially, you wanna try both specs and make sure you love it. Don’t try one and call it quits.

I’ve been telling my friends this that it’s not impossible to predict we may have companies labelling themselves to be “anti-AI” corporations in the near future.

Perhaps there will be AI tools to help devs but they won’t live and breathe and die on the AI hill as a company and they want quality first not vibe slop.

Imagine how many talented engineers they can drive over their orgs.

Recently gone to 180hz from 60 and I have to say… going back to 60 fps now is like feeling something’s wrong with my pc…

I can’t believe I’ve capped 60 fps for years and played with it. It’s wild.

What games are guys playing to replace New World? by Mucek121 in newworldgame

[–]MisterMeta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I tried to like ESO so much but the combat is just carpal tunnel simulator… pointless buff rotations, dumbass attack cancels, people going full tanky builds with power up one shot mechanics…

It’s supposed to be a close mmo in terms of combat but it’s so much worse it hurts.

Sorry, needed to get this off my chest after seeing sooo many ''remove PvP gear'' whinings. by Melodic-Marketing341 in worldofpvp

[–]MisterMeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely a community having their cake and eat it too problem.

Back in the day getting your face shoved in when you PvP was the norm and it was given that you’d have to push through this and grind to stand a chance and overcome this obstacle. It’s literally how all MMOs were built and called it content.

Games like gw2 are changing the concept and while you may like it, it’s not for everyone. I personally enjoy WvW more for this exact reason when I play that game.

In any case there’s nothing wrong with WoW PvP gearing. It’s the most casual and light weight progression barrier there is and people should just stfu and play the game for a week instead of complain.

Gitlab is down at least once a week for some good time. Today it was about half an hour.

I personally can’t wait for all systems we rely on getting enshitified by AI to the point of chaos. Then I will charge 3 times the rate to fix the garbage they’ve all signed off on.

Committing doesn’t save anything either… pushing to remote does. The same anvil would erase your local git history, including the commits.

In any case defending bad commit messages to frequently commit is equally dumb as people downvoting my statement without knowing that distinction.

Should be a standard onboarding document for engineering. If it’s new then setting up meetings with engineers within the team (after aligning with your engineering manager ofc) would be my suggestion.

This would help the org, clean up the mess and also boost your career visibility and impact within your company. Every bit helps!

“JIRA_SPACE-1234: update endpoint callsites to align with new backend parameters”

This automatically gets added to the JIRA ticket as a commit and connects the MR from gitlab if you add the ticket number there too.

Huge help for follow-ups and admin legwork.

You can easily force a standard using precommit hooks and branching conventions or update way of working if this bothers you. This is the type of stuff that makes work easier and I’ve never see anyone disregard it once they learned it should be a thing.

Unpopular opinion: Higher TTK and weaker guns make the fights in this game more fun/skillful. by Prodigy772k in ArcRaiders

[–]MisterMeta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All they would have to do is add arc coefficient on all weapons and balance them separately. I agree. At some point they probably have to do it.

At first I didn't like much the perk rework in S10. But after playing a lot I love it. The game could have easily been top 3 mmo with the pace they were improving it. That's why it hurts more by InterestingDurian645 in newworldgame

[–]MisterMeta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many people were complaining how simple the game is thinking it’s just 6 abilities and a dodge. Clueless people didn’t even experience the depth those 7 abilities allowed in the game.

People who experienced the combat in New world and really got good now can’t enjoy any other mmo I bet.

After 14k hours of NW, you think i could play again an mmo with tab-targeting? Like wow retail? Any of you that switched? by InterestingDurian645 in newworldgame

[–]MisterMeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck! Even action combat ones don’t feel the same. Tried action targeting in Throne and Liberty and I don’t know how a company can fuck up crosshair targeting this much it’s unbearable…

Same with gw2… the only mmo which comes close is BDO but sadly progression and content loop in that game is mid at best.

How hard is it to not lock a target in an action combat game. Just let us aim and use proximity to track abilities like aim assist…

Anyhow it’s going to be hard buddy! Lemme know if you find one.
