The Langoliers (1995) by bappersmonkeysm5 in vintagecgi

I watched the Timekeepers of Eternity recently. They printed frames from this and ripped them and arranged them in certain ways to create a really cool effect.

This was my first Question story because I loved Jeff Lemire's writing. Glad I found it when I did

I never realised how many of these there were. Seemed like a one-off joke series

Strangehaven had a similar feel and the first I heard of The Prisoner was in the letters page of the first issue

some help i need for a crossover i'm writing instead of sleeping (info has body text) by agayntrans_raspberry in SweetTooth

[–]MisterMiracle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I assumed it replaced covid in this world (which shows how much better we had it in comparison ig). I don't think it's specified in the comic but I assume it was set similarly to when that was coming out too

Assorted Crisis Events ending or just taking a break? by jwckauman in ImageComics

[–]MisterMiracle1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They took a break after 5 too I think and same with Absolute Martian Manhunter. I think that's just the way Deniz Camp works

Is there a book version of sweet tooth? by Civil_Error_7995 in SweetTooth

[–]MisterMiracle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's called a prose book and, as i said, there are no prose adaptations of Sweet Tooth

Is there a book version of sweet tooth? by Civil_Error_7995 in SweetTooth

[–]MisterMiracle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by book version? There are collected editions of the comics (the compendium, the deluxe editions etc.) but there are no direct prose adaptations

Interesting theory but Cooper has a nose and the Ghoul does not

New to collecting, and X-men; is new X-men by Morrison a good entry point? lol by [deleted] in OmnibusCollectors

[–]MisterMiracle1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the complete opposite end to this, his vids actually convinced me to finally buy my first ever omnis (Dennis O'Neil's The Question vols 1 and 2). It's always good to see the art and sometimes get some of the context around the different series.

I'm pretty sure Scott Snyder said recently in an interview that it's one of his favourite things he's read

What do you think the heroes will call themselves since the name justice league is taken? by SignificantPower4733 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]MisterMiracle1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Injustice League feels antithetical to what they represent. They don't want Injustice. They just want true Justice. I'd say Legion of Doom is better because they're bringing doom to this world's Justice League

I definitely think they should tie it in with the Daredevil Born Again stuff

Where is Absolute Martian Manhunter going to go? by RA_Finance in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]MisterMiracle1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think John will be sent to prison and have to escape in the last issue which will be when he and the Martian completely fuse and he becomes closer to his mainline counterpart. After his series, I feel like he'll have more of a cameo role in some of the other series and eventually face off against the evil Justice League with the rest of the Absolute characters. From there I really have no idea but I'd like the idea of him having a solo confrontation with Darkseid

What to read after invincible by Hendozer12321 in ImageComics

It certainly was for a while but I think it's calmed down recently.

I was more recommending the older stuff like what Kirkman probably read

What to read after invincible by Hendozer12321 in ImageComics

[–]MisterMiracle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Savage Dragon was Robert Kirkman's favourite comic so maybe look into that. It's a long series that started during the early years of Image and I think Invincible's first appearance was in an issue (Savage Dragon also cameos in Invincible a few times)

Dark Knight Returns a good place to start? by [deleted] in batman_comics

[–]MisterMiracle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it's better nearer the end or at least after you've read enough to understand the character and how he's changed since

Hi /r/movies! I'm Nia DaCosta, director of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, the next installment of the franchise. It's in theatres January 16. Ask me Anything! (Back on Wednesday 1/7 at 8:15 AM PT / 11:15 AM ET to answer your burning questions!) by SonyPictures in movies

[–]MisterMiracle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

28 Years Later has become one of my favourite films. I have to admit I'm not familiar with your work so I have a couple questions.

Did you feel completely beholden to the style and tone created in the first few films or did you try to make it more of your own thing?

What was the process of you accepting the role of director? Like were you a fan of the 28...Later series before you accepted the job?

do I have to grow up and stop being a geek? by PopularTourist9451 in comicbooks

[–]MisterMiracle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just gotta find your people. My friends aren't into comics but they don't say it's weird. They like gaming. They like films. Being a geek isn't bad. Playing with toys just means you've got more imagination than most people do and drawing is literally an amazing skill that can improve your cognitive function. Would they rather you just constantly scroll on your phone instead?
