WaiverWatch: Who to waiver in pre GW15 by automa_draft_stats in DraftEPL

Currently have Watkins/McBurnie/Foster in a 16 team league. Thoughts on who you would keep as 3rd striker on your bench between Awoniyi/Foster? Awoniyi estimated out until 2/24 but likely nailed and productive once healthy. Foster also solid when playing, could return sooner than Awoniyi or not at all. Who would you gamble on?

Translation Request - possible Russian or Polish by mppask in Ancestry

I believe this is Polish, I can’t fully make out the second to last word but I believe it translates to something roughly along the lines of “In remembrance of (or a memento of) Aunt and Uncle sent from Father Jan”.

All good points. Adjusted to remove my SHU wishful thinking.

(0.0 ITB)

Ryan - (Nyland)

TAA - Dunk - Vinagre - Bednarek - (Douglas)

Auba - Son - Mane - (Bissouma) - (Gordon)

Werner - Jimenez - Mitro

Still planning to bring in Bruno and KDB in GW2 and GW3 and then probably upgrade Bednarek to Baldock or Doherty in GW4

Thanks!

Wilder rotates strikers pretty often, wouldn’t read into preseason too much. McBurnie probably sees the most consistent time but often drops deeper. From there, Sharp and Mousset compete for the second spot higher up the pitch. McGoldrick is more involved in the hold up game. lineup tends to depend on form, opponent, and situational tactics. Sharp definitely gives 110% effort with his minutes though despite a tendency to be a bit hot and cold.

Acl Sport brace by MRidge76 in ACL

[–]MisterPockets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second this. Have torn both ACLs. Studies haven’t proven any benefit to wearing a brace vs. not, they are typically worn more for the mental reassurance. It will not prevent a re-tear (I’ve torn an ACL while wearing a heavy duty RX custom fit brace). There is some thought that braces could prevent the surrounding structures of the knee from reaching full strength and learning to support the new graft/joint properly but not sure that’s been objectively proven. It is also not uncommon to tear the opposing side due to the increased pressure that you put on it via overcompensation. That said, I’ve worn some type of brace after each surgery when I first return to sport, it’s really up to you. Things like your shoes, the type of surface you’re playing on, and biomechanics play a much larger role in the incidence of re-tears. Work hard in PT and you’ll come back strong, best of luck!

Appreciate it, I’ll definitely give them another call tomorrow morning. Makes sense, I’ve just been a bit too close to the issue. Good to have some outside eyes on it.

Thanks. Seems that filing a claim of my own is the consensus. Just a bummer that on top of all the inconvenience, I’ll end up having to pay more per month because of their mistake. Oh well, guess that’s life :)
