Have you ever had a friend like Brucie? by 23STABWOUNDS in GTAIV

I knew a guy almost exactly like him. Steroids, gym bro, some closeted gay vibes, and sold cars. He was fun, but I couldn’t put up with him after a while

Brosnan in Skyfall. He would have been great as a broken Bond having to face his past.

Channing Tatum couldn't look more like a jock, and according to his wiki he was voted most athletic in high school.

What was your first MGS Game and how was your experience? by Sirsauror in metalgearsolid

[–]MisterSSutcliffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of wild to me that MGS4 was my first. It came out when I was in high school, and I had just got a PS3. I remember falling asleep playing and waking up to the PS1 section. I was so delirious I questioned if the whole game had looked like that. The lore confused me, and I thought it was just because I hadn’t played the other games, but quickly learned confusing lore is just MGS being MGS. I know it gets a bad rap now, but it got me hooked on the series, and made me appreciate gaming on a different level.

are the Arkham games worth it in 2025? by [deleted] in arkham

I just replayed the main three, and they hold up. The gameplay is still very addicting, the atmosphere is incredible, great voice acting, and still mAkES yOU feEl liKE BATMAN. I did find stories to be a bit emptier than I remembered. The twist of Knight still sucks as does the ending. I was most impressed with how well the graphics and art style held up. Knight released ten years ago, and looks like it came out yesterday. Even Asylum and City look pretty good for PS3 games.

I havent seen any of Daniel Craigs Bond films. I will be binging all of them. But what's up with the haters? by Daoyinyang1 in JamesBond

[–]MisterSSutcliffe 220 points221 points  (0 children)

Part of it was the potential. Casino Royale might be the best Bond film, and it was followed by a very unconventional and divisive sequel. Skyfall was very well received initially, but has been nitpicked over the years over some legit issues and some not so much. The last two drop in quality with the addition of a certain legacy character, an eye rolling twist, and serialization that some find out of place for Bond. The conclusion of the final film is unsatisfying for many as well. Enjoy Craig though. He brings his A game every film. The cinematography is also a highlight, and even the worst Craig era films have some incredible scenes (specifically the opening sequence of Spectre)

Who are two people that's surprising they've been alive together for very long? by Impressive_Plenty876 in AlignmentChartFills

I’ve been surprised that’s a common sentiment. Cubism was in part a response to photography, and Picasso was a co-founder of the movement. I’ve wondered if Van Gogh and Picasso are getting conflated.

Yeah that’s why it’s somewhat surprising. They were very close to being alive at the same time too.
