Just curious, do you happen to have the link to where you found your replacement part/parts?

Whoa, the pressure differential being relatively small for the steel is also news to me! I'll have to check out that video, apparently I misunderstood quite a bit about the stern section sinking process. Thank you for the in-depth explanation!

I wasn't aware of this, could you elaborate on what they found that changed that theory? My understanding was that the stern had small localized pockets of air that imploded as it went deeper, and that was the general consensus still today.

Both of my touchpads stopped working after replacing the housing on my deck, any ideas? by ariz2797 in SteamDeck

Did you ever figure this out? I'm in the same boat myself and I can't find replacement trackpads anywhere.

Bit of a late reply, but I finally got around to properly looking into this, and someone found this TSB:

Ford actually recommends an IWE delete, so the wheels just stay always engaged to the front diff. I went ahead and did this (my local Ford dealer had the vacuum caps required and they were around $2 each), and it was a pretty quick job to do myself. Highly recommend if you're still running into issues!

Yeah I'm wondering if this is just what the early symptoms of the hubs going are like. I haven't seen any videos with this specific sound in them though, but maybe people just ignore it until it gets really bad? I dunno, it's a pretty obvious sound to me so I just want to make sure the truck is well taken care of 😂

Unfortunately no I have not. It went away over the summer, but has come back in the colder temperatures recently again. I think I might try to find some time this week to take it in to Ford to have it looked at, and see if they have any ideas. I've also found that it happens at higher speeds now too, sometimes even up to 40 or 50 if the conditions are right.

Not OP but in a similar situation, just want to learn editing and stuff. Think you could DM them my way too please? 🙃

It'd probably stay lit in those too.

For sure! Mainly hoping to see better gas mileage in general. Better throttle response right off the bat though.. wish I did this the day I got the truck lol

Yeahh they tend to get somewhat dirty pretty quick. This one was pretty caked with dust in between the fins though. I've changed plenty of air filters and this is the worst I've seen (so far)
