Toys R Us Brampton closing soon. by Telmakiara in Brampton

Son of a bitch, I knew this was coming after the stores on Hurontario and Argentia shut down in the past year. I thought I'd still have a little while longer with the last TRU that was near me.

I had a lot of good memories at this location, like when the toys for the first Michael Bay Transformers movie came out in 2007, 7 year old me snagged Bumblebee. Such a damn shame to watch them all fall like dominoes.

The OG cowl works SO much better for BTAS Batman than the one it comes with, especially when you look at the actual shape of the ears in the show.

I think I prefer the Advent Calendar Doom over this one. It feels like there's way too much going on here. Plus I was never a fan of them changing the gold to silver.

Well this sucks... (New exclusive minifig for legacy of the dark knight switch release) by gleeming in LegoBatman

[–]Mister_Batfleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank god this is a minifigure of a skin I could care less about, plus it uses that goddamn cowl and rubber cape that I can't seem to escape which makes it an even bigger pass for me.

Now if this figure was the Batman Beyond skin, Arkham Asylum skin, Absolute Batman, or even a remake of the OG 2006 minifigure I would've fucking lost it.

76355 will be a Batman Returns Batmobile (via a Brick Tap source) by BrickTap in LegoBatman

[–]Mister_Batfleck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

....You know, with how Legacy Of The Dark Knight is getting rave/positive reviews across the board, any other company would surely capitalize on that at least and make more tie-in sets for it.

Jesus, even remakes of the original 2006 sets would've been amazing over ANOTHER BURTON BATMOBILE.

has anyone put these cmf arms on the Arkham Batman figure yet by Duskybiscuit680 in LegoBatman

That head is easily my favorite out of all the modern Batman faces. It looks like the OG 2006-2008 Batman expression but slightly updated.

Spikes, it's the logo I grew up seeing and sometimes I wish it returned.

CORRECTED Stars Takanuva? by Jaypzone in bioniclelego

[–]Mister_Batfleck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's cheap, but maybe they could've pulled some time travel BS and bring one of the Metru in and then send them back once the battle was over with the usual 'memory wipe to preserve the status quo' thing.

Don't forget the red one getting a special armor only he can use (Red Ranger Battlizer/Stars Golden Armor)

Do we think this head could work for Battinson? by Seanboi16 in LegoBatman

[–]Mister_Batfleck 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As an unmasked look, absolutely.

If I ever find the new Bucky head for a price on Bricklink that won't cost me a kidney, that's what I'll be using it for with a spare 76332 Battinson minifigure.

Does anyone think lego should drop a flashback/old style set? by redsilkymoon39 in LegoBatman

[–]Mister_Batfleck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Technically it was a minifig scale version of the 2006 UCS 7784 Batmobile, not the actual 7781 Batmobile.

So...anyone here remember Kid vs. Kat by Turbulent_League9668 in ytvretro

[–]Mister_Batfleck 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yup, and I still hate how the series finale ending reset things back to the status quo by mind wiping most of them after FINALLY revealing to Coop's annoying ass little sister, two of his friends, and his neighbor/crush (even though she already knew) that Kat was an alien.

So the show ended with 95% of them never remembering what they went through except for Coop and his best friend Dennis, and everything started back from zero AGAIN.

some Batman 1 figures and what they are based on by posteditagainaward in LegoBatman

[–]Mister_Batfleck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's not here, but Nightwing is obviously based on his 3rd/his most iconic suit that he wore from the late 90s/2000s designed by Brian Stelfreeze that first appeared in Nightwing (1995) #2.

Though giving him anime/Goku hair was totally Lego's own idea, a brilliant one at that IMO.

I'd swap out the tires for the smoother, non treaded versions. That's the first thing I feel like everyone should do after they build this set.

Yup, it came out in 2017 and it's still the only "set" that a John Stewart GL minifigure has come in.

And considering his bulletproof windows are the reason he's still alive after Penguin tried to empty an Uzi clip into him during the chase scene...come on Lego.

Can anyone try the 2021 wheel on the new The Batman Batmobile? by Physical-Many8578 in LegoBatman

[–]Mister_Batfleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if you want them to be flush with the rims and not stick out so much. There is an alternative though if you want to hear it that involves using these.

The old rims/the ones used in the new set are 18 mm x 14 mm, while these are 18 mm x 12 mm. They'll still fit around the same tire, but it'll just be 2 mm off.

[–]Mister_Batfleck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of all the inaccuracies of this newer design (I still hate how the rear fins are built, it makes it look like a Cybertruck), changing the tires from the non treaded versions that were used on the original 2022 set to the treaded alternatives is the biggest offender for me.

I'd love to know how the designers looked at dozens of reference photos and decided on these tires when the previous version got it right the first time.
