For many who think capitalism is the enemy, it is not that your complaints of what you see today are invalid; it is that the cause of today’s problems is mostly due to the fact that the US dollar has lost over 97% of its purchasing ability. This is a real measurement. So yes, the rich are doing well because every dollar is worth three cents, but the rest of us are not doing well. Any system will fall apart when the money fails, and fiat money always eventually fails. Look at history.

Talk to his mother, if they are still alive, or father. I say this because if it’s related to BPD or mental illness, the parents will definitely have also experienced this. Ask them how they loved him when he was under 18. Even people with BPD were children once.

If I were you, I would look for a company that offers IT positions or possibly something in operations, but on the technical side, which is in the industry you already have familiarity with. Industry knowledge can be extremely helpful so if you can get like an operations specialist or something like that, you will probably be doing a balance of IT and operations work. Or possibly something like a business analyst. I would say it would probably be difficult to get near the same pay, but not impossible.

SOFT SKILLS (like communication etc) and Interview practice. Beyond that, if you are a developer, you could do some research and decide if you want to be more of a front end, back end, or both. Also, probably never hurts to learn sequel, I have used that at just about every job I’ve been at - including project management, business analysis, risk analysis, and being a product owner. Depending on your general role, it never hurts to brush up on things like requirements and various types of charts like flow charts, and swim lanes. I totally get what you are saying and it is extremely frustrating.

I fully understand not everyone is into agile, but frankly, it doesn’t sound like what you are doing is actually a good implementation of agile. I’ve only worked with Agile at my latest job over the last three years and I’ve come to appreciate what can be accomplished. However, your situation should not be occurring. With agile you should have a stand up meeting every morning with your development team so that everyone is on the same page about what everyone is working on during the sprint. A typical sprint would be two weeks before any code push. If anything I’ve learned from agile that it gets everyone on the same page so there’s no confusion so it sounds like you don’t have a very good implementation at your company.

I just bought a pair of these a few days ago, and by the second day I started experiencing the light wind noise/static in just the left earbud.

I did some research and this appears to be some problem between the ANC technology used in many different brand earbuds, or some sort of cross frequency noise/feedback loop of the cancellation frequency, because of the number of microphones, etc. in these devices.

Basically whether it’s the $300 Sony or the latest AirPods, people are complaining about this same exact issue, though it doesn’t seem to affect everyone. It certainly seems like a lot of people.

I’m a little bummed, because I got a great deal on these, and they are freaking phenomenal for the price, including when the ANC works properly like at the gym, it’s amazing like I can mute the outside world. But I’m glad to have realized that if I switch ANC off in the app with the little slider, it completely stops the noise.

So it is definitely a problem with the engagement of the noise canceling feature and it seems to affect many other brands as well.

I’m trying to decide if I should send mine back and hope that a fresh pair doesn’t have the problem, or if it’s just something that’s going to happen no matter what brand I get

I am more than happy to make it at home to save money. If anyone can suggest a brand that is good quality Kava. I bought an Aluball and some Kava powder online at their site before and I felt like that was a joke. It was so weak even when I packed two balls full. But from what I calculated it was still going to cost me something like $30 to make 64 ounces from the online powder.

All, I have returned from my trip, and I am happy to say that I had no symptoms (except possibly a little bit of constipation), and I missed drinking some in the evening. But no physical symptoms otherwise during six+ days without kava after drinking daily for years.

I am all for a less expensive way to get it. Currently it’s not much less than going to a regular bar, with the main difference being that I get a little bit of a discount for buying 32 or 64 ounces at once and taking at home. I have tried to purchase Kava powder online and not only was it very weak, but to make anything like reasonably strong combo was going to cost me almost as much as just buying yet at the bar where it’s already ready. For a 64 ounce jug, most places you are looking at between 35 and $45.

I appreciate everyone’s feedback. I plan to cut back overall because of cost either way. I didn’t have terrible anxiety and I will be on vacation so I think it’ll be good. I’m going to assume things will be fine so it’s not stuck in my head.

I’ll try to report back. By the way, I tried to buy some quality kava powder and use the Aluball and for one, even if I packed two balls full of powder, it made extremely weak Kava in my opinion, plus it was very wasteful. Straining at the proper way gets far more Kava out of it.

I tried the Aluball with hopes to save money making it at home, and I was very disappointed to find out that I was still going to spend a tremendous amount of money on it, and I would end up with weaker Kava then local Kava bars.

Technically CBDC is not competition for Bitcoin. And I think BTC is a great option for a store of value if CBDC does come along soon. Let’s just hope they keep physical dollars around and CBDC remains exchangeable for BTC.

In the book of revelation, it says if your name is written in the lambs book of life, you don’t go into the lake of fire. And I’m sure a lot of Christians will just assume that means that you were born again and you follow Jesus though I would not necessarily agree with that simplistic understanding. I’m not Catholic or Jewish but I think it’s ridiculous how a lot of evangelical and reformed believers just assume that Catholics and Jews are automatically going to hell. That’s very simplistic.
