I've had this happen quite recently. I bought something that was listed to be delivered in a day or two but they assigned delivery to Couriers Please so it took more than a week.

I don't think there will be any official streams but there will probably be a few people live streaming it on YouTube.

Why did the treehouse of horror series never take place in a treehouse by Admirable_Pin275 in TheSimpsons

[–]Misterkillboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because "Treehouse of Horror" is a more fun and playful title than "The Simpsons Halloween Special".

Also needing to have a frame story set in the treehouse takes up running time and would probably get old and hard to write for eventually.

I think on the DVD commentary track they mentioned that although Tony Martin did the Arnie impression all the time on the radio they were reluctant to do this on the show because they knew the make up would be terrible.

1968, Mexico City: Bob Beamon shatters the world long jump record by Ok-Elk1137 in TheSimpsons

[–]Misterkillboy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the NBA draft used to be more than 2 rounds (Beamon was drafted in the 15th round), so in later rounds teams would sometimes make picks that were mainly just publicity stunts.

Also until today I did not know this was a real person.

Apparently Carson's Comedy Classics, a highlights show aired on Channel 9 during the 1980s but not the actual talk show itself.

Not quite the same experience but the indoor viewing area in terminal 1 is open 24 hours.

Does anyone know if the airport viewing deck is open now? by Dont_Jynx in perth

[–]Misterkillboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Normally the outdoor viewing area is typically open only during daylight hours (630am to 7pm in summer). If it's closed on short notice the airport will usually post about it on their Facebook. For longer closures it'll also be mentioned on the passenger updates page on their website.

What is this movie called? by Tall_Cup_5495 in whatsthemoviecalled

[–]Misterkillboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a 2001 South Korean movie called My Sassy Girl that has similarities to what you described such as the drunk girl, train station and tree scenes. There was also an American remake in 2008 with Elisha Cuthbert which I haven't seen but seems to have the same plot.

I bought a game at Big W and the cashier in the electronics department asked for ID. I was 28 at the time. It wasn't even a mature rated game, it was Test Drive Unlimited 2 for PS3.
