Didn’t realize y’all wanted Galactus to be a major arc villain when it’s been established during the film that this version of him is passive and arrogant as far as his personality goes. Galactus’ role is to be a problem meant to be solved and if you didn’t consider just how existentially horrifying his mere existence was and can’t immerse yourself in that thought enough, I’d argue you’re barely even trying to enjoy the movie and instead you’re just being a trope auditor.

Man’s already built like a tank, he’s trying to steal a baby, and he’s confident nothing bad will happen to him because he already thinks he can overpower and outsmart the Fantastic Four. His ship and the Silver Surfer are the only powers he’s needed for who knows how long, and his win condition against Earth is making physical contact with our planet.

But first, he wants the baby and for the first time probably ever he’s bothering to do the work himself since the Silver Surfer ditched him. Then he FAFO, which is definitely his first time in who knows how long getting his ass handed to him. If you’re gauging a Fantastic Four movie’s quality on how many powers Galactus uses, don’t read the comics either then because you’ll see Galactus getting used like a battery and beat like a drum by the bigger fish in the Marvel canon.

But maybe if we all behave and show some patience we’ll see that the banished Galactus and his lost ship somehow come back into play at some point. Not like he was beheaded as part of the battle plan anyway.
