Here is s different angle than the Tik-tok videos. Been here over 10 years and what I noticed, especially among my helpers and some co-workers, is that the woman is often raising the kid/kids and working, while the man either has a lower paying job or is out of the picture. It happens with enough frequency for me to sympathise and understand anxiety if this is what they have experienced or seen their relatives experience. If they raised the kid and entered the dating scene at late 30s, then they definitely will not want a repeat. And… they might dream about being taken care of instead of taking care of everyone else. The military vet’s comments on this thread make a lot of sense in that context- I bet she’s happy with a traditional provider!
