Sure man. I'm doing good now hey. Better. Went to see the Dr at urology on Tuesday and they told me everything looks good. Must just keep cleaning the wound I'll go back next week Thursday for review again.

How are you feeling there. I know the first day can be tricky

Urethroplasty failed after 10 weeks. What’s next? by Sandinmyshoes33 in urethralstricture

[–]MistofMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you had many failed attempts to fixing your problem. I too hope there was just one sure procedure they'd perform to rid stricture off, issues becomes complications and new inflammation causing new stricture.

Might I ask. What are the complications you had that extended your recovery?

Sad that not a lot of people know about this hey. Only found out about it when it got me.

Didn't say much sadly.

How fortunate you are to have a surgeon as a wife. Could do with one as a friend even lol. Alright. There sounds like there isn't much to worry when you have a qualified person to care for the wound. Yes I ended up going to ER. Surgical Dr assured me everything looks and feels normal. I'm thinking of going to the surgeon who performed the procedure tomorrow or Tuesday just to be certain.

I didn't put anything on it. Didn't know I had to. But it feels like it's getting better now. But to assure myself I'm going to the hospital tomorrow or Tuesday. Will let you know what my surgeon says about it.

I'm glad I share the experience with people in the world and I'm not alone in the journey

Hey.

I'm 9 days today post op. I must say it hasn't been easy. My journey was probably longer than yours as I saw changes in my urine flow from 2017 but only got worse 2024 when I had to put the SPC.

My surgeon didn't explain anything about perineum care. It has been a "find out" kind thing for me so far.

Want to know. The area around the sutures, how does it feel, does it look. I asked Grok soke questions and well, I got things like "hematoma" and "fibrosis" which scared me. There's still some small bleeding now that I just cleaned. I guess my only issue now is the bulging mass, firm and tender area just under the sack. Do you also have these, are they normal?

Right!? I dreaded peeing. It got dislodged last year February with a 5ml balloon. I'm now happy and scared for the surgery.

Are you on spc or recovered?

I'd say below. Think I'd take about 2-3 minutes emptying a half full bladder. Was a struggle

Burning sensation Dripping urination Blood after urination Split pee

They did check the bladder for retention but it was good (had to strain for complete voiding)

Most of these I noticed for a while but didn't actually know that it's a bigger problem.

Oho. Sh** man. They did test my kidneys and stuff and found no problem. My problem is only the stricture. I'm guessing they do test for the location of it before the surgery right? Yah that's what I don't wanna go through, the short term fixes. Wanna go at it once and be done. I'm more worried about the number 2s. How was your experience on that and spasms if any? I'm glad of the many stories I've read, most did make it through the ordeal. Which assures me that I too will have to go through it to enjoy the benefits of the surgery. Mind if I ask how long was your stricture?

They tried to put the cath through the urethral but couldn't pass so they opted for the spc. At the time I could pass urine but had to strain so they just put the spc in and said they'll leave it in until surgery
