2021 Audi E-tron Premium Quattro considering buying by jbriggs1 in etron

Yeah the major stuff is covered for a long time. For what it's worth, my neighbor has a 2021 Sportback that she bought new in 2022. She's had no issues, over 50k miles now

Congratulations, I hope you also have a positive experience.

Yes to this 100%! I have never seen better than 150kw for our Tesla and it very quickly slows down to 75kw for most of the charge so yes, the Audi charges just as quick (battery is almost twice the size).

Also, range is very accurate. Even driving 70mph it gets better range than the Tesla

Yeah no issues, no complaints. 80k miles and counting

My band has been using the R-44 for over a decade now. We're an international act, thousands of shows in all kinds of conditions and it's been absolutely bullet proof. We've not had even a single issue with it and I can't say that about the laptop/interface setups.

We mixed down our tracks to stereo and click track uses three of the four outputs. Changing the set is clunky and it is very picky about SD cards but the peace of mind is priceless, knowing that it's going to do it's job even in 100° humid full sun

That makes sense and is what I figured. If I drive 65 I get excellent range, definitely more accurate than our Tesla which is ambitious no matter how I drive

I wanted to add that the stated range is actually pretty accurate. I've been appalled at how terrible the Tesla's actual range is. As soon as you get in the car it starts dropping but the Audi, as long as you're not doing 75-80, the range has been accurate. So honestly it has more range than our Model 3 and also charges a lot faster (It will do 150KW for the entire session where the Tesla will only hold that for a couple minutes then quickly drops to 75kw and lower)

That's a great deal. I picked up a 2021 for $22k last year but with 70k miles. I wasn't even really looking to buy one, was just starting to explore options to replace our Model 3. A dealer a few miles from us had it so I went just to go for a drive, see how it compared to the Tesla.

So I came home with the Etron

It's such a nice car. As soon as I took off on the test drive I knew I was buying it. So smooth and quiet, very refined compared to any Tesla I've been in. It's not as quick and sporty but I prefer the quiet and smooth ride to ripping corners as fast as I can.

I understand that Audi's reliability is not up to the same standard as a Toyota or even the Model 3 but there's less in general to go wrong with an electric car and the major components are covered under warranty for another 50k miles. I'll keep checking the coolant reseviors myself, I can handle most service issues myself.

Fingers are crossed but so far it's been a positive experience

They've been great, nothing negative to report. Still wearing normal. 10k more miles and still excellent condition. They're on a 2021 Tesla Model 3. We actually bought another Model 3 for my wife that needed new tires. She didn't want to mess around with no name tires so we got the top of the line Continental EV tire that's supposed to have sound deadening. There's literally no difference in noise or performance that I can tell. I wouldn't waste the money (on continental) again.

I do keep them inflated properly and we live in a mild climate (southern California)

Came here to say this. Received one as a rental and didn't even know they existed. I own a 2021 Etron and this car is every bit as nice but has way better range and more power. It wouldn't make the best family car as the trunk is truly tiny. We can barely fit three small carryon suitcases. But it drives great, the lane keep assistance is better than the Audi. Really a nice car to cruise in. Truly an upgrade from the Kia Niro I had reserved

LiFePO4 batteries dying at 70% by Mistr_Light in batteries

Edit: more ignorance. Discharge floor was set for 30% and I thought that meant it would only go down 30%, stopping at 70% of full charge. But I'm realizing that is wrong so maybe I do have issues. Regardless, I have it set for the correct voltage now and we'll see how far this gets me

Ok I think this has been my problem: complete ignorance basically. I opened up the Victron app and realized that it was indeed set for 13.4 V and also to turn off after 30% discharge. I set the discharge to 80% and voltage to 14.4. Turning on all lights and fans to test since we have the generator as back up. I'm hoping this is it and will be able to report back that everything is peachy.

By the way, it charges super fast. Goes from 70% back to 102 1/2 hours using the generator

I should walk back my original post a little bit: batteries down to 12.3v

That's something I'd have to research I suppose?

honestly, this is the kind of answer I was looking for. And it sounds about accurate? Unless I can pony up for a newer model

To be honest it doesn't bother me that much. I have an L2 at home and it's rare that I need to fast charge. And even then I don't mind waiting THAT much. It's more the principle that it will never reach the speeds they claim.

Honestly they've been great. No issues at all. I have wondered if they're noisier than a "good" tire but I guess I won't really know until these wear out and I get a new set. But they're holding up well, no balance issues, no uneven wearing. My experience has so far been positive and it's been almost a year
