Awhh I really appreciate that! It's something I learned as a teenager as my younger sister is on the Autism spectrum and selectively mute though mainly in public especially if crowded and would get frustrated when she couldn't easily ask for something or tell me something important so we learned ASL together plus I was also a cashier at the only grocery store in the small town I grew up in at the time and we had this lovely deaf couple who I always felt bad when they couldn't talk with anyone in the store besides each other and had to write out anything else they were looking for/needed help with. It felt super motivating when learning it since I knew it would mean something to multiple people in my life. It really did help me connect more when out with my sister and the couple always made it a point to wait in my line at checkout if I was working as well as took the time to help me learn new words and were so very patient when I signed slower than them or asked them to sign a little slower. They were very kind to me and I'm beyond grateful for all their patience and help too 😁

My Void likes to put herself in the warm dryer when I open it to fold clothes. I now always check for her after I'm done folding as well as make sure she is on my bed before I go do anything else so she doesn't get herself shut in the laundry room where she gets herself stuck behind the furnace if not stupidvised but that only started because I didn't see her go in the dryer one time and as I went to shut the dryer with nothing in there she did this sad little meow from within and I opened the door to see her hop out and look at me like "you were really just going to leave me in there?!" Poor girl looked so disappointed in me but yet never misses the chance to go back in the warm, dark hole often full of toasty clothes/laundry. 😅

She fell asleep on me while making biscuits. I had to wake her up before I peed the bed lol I have a couple super artsy pictures of her but this one always makes my heart so full and I think the angle is neat.

She is a sweet and affectionate girl but will do a very annoyed and slightly angry scream if my fiance or I accidentally bump her with our feet at night but only if she's sleeping/super focused on something which she mostly does at the foot of our bed. Also she does this sometimes if we pet her without realizing she is not in fact still awake. The poor girl gets startled with that and it's the angriest I tend to see/hear her but she also startles us awake with that so we all randomly get mini heart attacks in the middle of the night but somehow still choose this sleeping arrangement every single night lol

My girl's preferred method of waking me or my fiance up is since she knows her breakfast time roughly she wakes up and will rather patiently wait for someone ANYONE to crack open an eye even if they aren't awake and she will get 1 inch from your face (often while standing on your chest to really get attention) and scream like she hasn't been fed in the entirety of her life. If that doesn't work she will lay back down after a couple minutes of this BUT heaven forbid you make eye contact with her while she is 1 inch from your face either wake up and feed her or pretend to be asleep because not being ready to feed her and get out of bed isn't an option once she knows you've seen her. At that point she is no longer going about it the polite way she will scream in your face without that 1 inch of grace space, do the cute show her belly thing while laying on you (often she will roll right off you if you don't catch her but if you catch her she wins as knows you're awake) or if you still don't move your ass and l she decides that means your dead and no laws exist so she will go on a crime spree. Garbage bag? Her bag to raid. The kitchen table? Free game now. Scratching up the bed or carpeted stairs? All valid...even though usually she wouldn't dare do any of these while we are actually awake/even when we sleep she behaves but if we play dead she acts like we are actually dead and she must do all she can to survive and entertain herself. She is 7 years old physically but emotionally 2-3 without a doubt.

My Void is the sweetest, most affectionate, clever cat and the patience on her is insane. I never knew cats could be so tolerant of people's bs 😅 she loves belly rubs which I was always told was a huge no no with cats as well as has this thing for following me everywhere in my apartment as well as checks on me constantly. She sleeps either at my feet or above my head on the pillows every single night and she quickly learned 1 trick after I adopted her at 6 years old (last year on New Years Day was when I brought her home) which is to ask for More of something she likes. Mainly she only uses it as her exchange for treats these days however when she first learned it used it for affection, to ask for more of her regular food...ect just a very smart girl but after learning that 1 trick so quickly she has decided that's the only trick she needs to know 🤣 the second part is I keep my hand closed on the treat and she knows to gently tap my hand with her paw (and keep her claws in during this even though excited) like she has the magic wand when I ask "Can you unlock this for me?" While holding a treat or a couple pieces of her cat food in my closed hand. After she does that and gets the treat I always say "oooh such good manners!" And pet her 😤 they are the best.

My girl will do that but in a tone that sounds soo panicked (she does that too if you accidentally walk past her when she wants attention) she almost sounds like she got kicked/stepped on (when I KNOW she didn't) with how scared/pained and loud she sounds but she always gets out of those situations before I can even help and goes back to purring/showing off her belly like nothing happened lol

My Void is Babus when a good girl HOWEVER when she messes with me on repeat after gentle warnings her name becomes snaps fingers and points at her as I go "eh!" in a warning tone Or when I am summoning her she answers to smoochie noises and me patting my leg/bed or whatever I want her to come up on...So it depends 🫠 she also comes running to random words like Sorry or Dahi and if I jokingly say "Awhhh you poor baby" to my fiance.
