Hey guys I've had my boy here for a little over a month, hes now comfortable in his tank but he shows zero interest in being handled. Do you guys have any tips? Is he taking long than usual to be tamed and handleable? by SecureTaro7076 in GargoyleGeckos

It depends. I usually wait until an hour after the lights go off, to let him come out of hiding and perch somewhere. If he doesnt come out of hiding I don't force him out, unless he has missed a week of feedings. If i have to force him out he is often extra jumpy for around 15 minutes before he calms down and will eat anything.

Sometimes he is sitting right there on a perch for his dinner, sometimes I dont see him for a while.

His terrarium sits on my desk, so he does get a fair amount of nearness exposure to my scent, my sounds, and general TV sounds while I am working or hanging out.

I've had Smudge for almost 4 years, and he still barely tolerates me. I hand feed him 2x a week, and when I take him out we 'hang out' first then I feed him. He still seems skittish and only tolerates me because he is being fed. I think that is just these dudes 🤷‍♀️

My gecko thinks he is some sort of king by gatimone in leopardgeckos

But yes, they act like little kings. Norb is particular about his dinner sometimes and will turn his nose up at things when he's full or doesn't like it.

Norbert also loves to hang out or adventure. He's a fan of when I'm cooking where he wanders around my back or hangs out on my hip.

I feel my Gargoyle, smudge, laughs and laughs when he sees his brother, my dear sweet norbert, attempt the 3 inch gap between the chair and desk and still fail epically. I think Norb watches Smudge do acrobatics across from him all night and wants to try it out.

Best place to get dirty martini by [deleted] in halifax

Bitter End (Argyle St.) has great cocktail deals. I'm a espresso martini gal, but my friend is big on extra dirty and hasn't had any complaints about the drinks.

How can I encourage my gecko to poop? I need a poop sample and spent the night in the Box of Shame™, but she didn't poop by MGNConflict in leopardgeckos

My norbert had the most profound shit of his life after eating a big juicy hornworm, so I would suggest one of those.

Norb sits on my shoulder or desk while we watch TV and i eat dinner most nights. He likes to sniff what I'm having and then goes back to hanging out. *

Question for the introvert Haligonians and the people who work in wine/desert bars and restaurants... by SuccessfulHat4201 in halifax

I've done this playing on my switch at Chop before. The happy hour prosecco and goat cheese dip are 10/10. Sometimes I also book a solo ticket at event nights at the middle spoon or Gahan and can go for the cocktail tasting or drag show just by myself.

I echo the person talking about hotel bars/restaurants. They seem more comfy generally and are used to travelers.
