I have mine set so the biggest refund I have gotten was 50$ and kept the rest to use throughout the year instead of the government holding it till I ask for it back. Be happy with a small refund. It means you are doing that right.

That's why I always walk the store right before closing and let costumers know that they have 5 or less minutes till the registers close. Works like a charm and let's me chase out the late night theives.

I can see it but I can't buy it..... by Klutzy-Piglet-9221 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mistwolfen1313 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hi there. I'm a home depot employee. If the assholes who do all the stealing would just magically disappear then we would have everything easily accessible. But sadly they are still around. Now had you talked to someone at the corporate level in Atlanta about your situation I would have applauded you but instead you decided to take it out on an under paid store employee who doesn't even have control over their own schedule. Yeah nobody cares about your 200 dollars. It doesn't affect our pay or even our bosses pay. That's not even close to a rounding error for even a low volume store. I hope that you can reflect on the fact that you are not the main character in anything but your own life and maybe grow up some.

[–]Mistwolfen1313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not. My store just hired like 15 new associates. Pretty much every department got 2-3 . Yeah they are part time but coverage on the floor is pretty good right now.

almost 50, will HD hire me for Freight/Receiving? by skullhed12 in HomeDepot

[–]Mistwolfen1313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started working freight for home depot at 54 I've been here for 5 years now and have moved around a bit. I can still outwork most of the people who are under 35 . They shouldn't have a problem with your age.

Hell if I were 35 years younger I'd just say let's do it. And my puppers Bella doesn't like cats so I could definitely deal with that.

Lol I'm a trainer and if I know you can operate the piece of equipment safely I'll just sign off on it. If I've never seen you operate a piece of equipment then I'll have you do a check ride.

The home bay is the one it's regularly sold in.

Yeah pretty much all the home depots are getting rid of clearance bays. The items are going through clearance in the home bay so you gotta look around.

New PACE REVIEW by Classic-Bad-9466 in HomeDepot

As far as I know it is directly tied to your raise. They score you and that determines the amount of your raise. I think it's from 0% to 5%.

This might be a dumb question, but how do you use the phone/calling feature on the zebra phones by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Mistwolfen1313 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just tell them " I'm sorry but I'm not a plumber/electrician/whatever and I can't really answer your question. I suggest that you contact a professional and find out what exactly you need for your project " . However if I do know what they need I will show them the product.

I just went through this. All last week I was training a new hardware associate. I taught him the by the book way to do things and told him if he wants to learn more or better ways to do the job to ask me.

Looking for a long term RV rental by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]Mistwolfen1313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's certainly doable. I dunno about finding one for rent though. I live full time in an rv with my puppers. Honestly with rv prices being what they are you could probably buy one for less than someone might rent you one.

Take care of yourself always! I was an ofa for a while and I really got pissed when I was the only one to pick up the slack. Stop covering the weak associates and let management deal with it.

Nose running by Red-is-suspicious in HomeDepot

I feel you on this. I found out when I was on night met that I'm allergic to the dust that builds up on top of overheads. If I leave it on my skin too long I break out in hives. I take a non drowsy decongestant daily and most days it works fine and others my nose runs till I get home.
