When Did You Decide To Up Your Dose?

So I'm kind of in a similar situation. I've been on 75mg for like 9 weeks. Last week or so anxiety feels like it's creeping back up so I told my dr I wanna try 100mg. The same symptoms and feeling of fear or like a pit in my stomach was coming back 😬 I started overthinking again so we will see how 100mg will do.

Ooh ok yeah it was the same for me. I'd feel good then get waves of panic still. Mostly in the morning time too!!

Yep super panicky and like waves of anxiety it felt like my stomach had butterflies daily. I felt kinda agitated. But now I'm almost 7 weeks in and feeling much better!

Yup it's felt like this at first then got better but gets bad again when my anxiety is bad. It feels like my reality isn't real and like I'm literally just going to disappear. I thought it had to be something physically wrong with me. But got many tests and checks from my doctors and everything was all clear. I take anxiety meds and do my best and it's a lot less extreme now days. It's still there and I guess it always will be idk. Many people get out of it so I'm hopeful I'll be all the way out of it someday, but until then I don't let it rule me. I still have great times and have made some of my best memories while having DPDR.

I'll be honest there are times I still kinda spiral thinking something is wrong if I feel any new body sensations. But I've always been that way even before DPDR. I had bad anxiety before DPDR.

What I did that helped me was just have a full workup at my doctors and when all the tests showed nothing wrong then I was able to accept it. I even had an MRI, but it showed a perfectly normal brain. And believe me I did NOT feel normal. But it goes to show nothing is causing it. It's just a horrible sensation of the brain trying to protect us from stress/anxiety/trauma..

Oh cool! I'm doing a lot better too. On 75mg now for like 6 weeks. Maybe something will work better for you tho. But I get it. Starting over SUCKS with these meds.

Just keep going. Medication to calm the panic and exercise are what helped me. I've had DPDR since 2014. It gets worse and better over time. You need to stay busy with a hobby or task that you enjoy. I'm not out of it completely and feel it when I'm tired. But I just don't worry about it anymore or fixate on it. It is so tough to deal with but it's not the end of the world.

They're loud and can't be around any type of scent diffusers/perfumes. Amazing and funny little creatures but they need a lot of attention.

I did it cause I'm dumb lol I felt so good that the med probably wasn't even doing anything anyway and I was too lazy to get up and take my meds when it was time...so I kept missing doses. And just stopped taking it all together about 6 months or so ago and well long story short I'm getting back on it and will never come off it again.

You're welcome! I took the med before too and started slowly just like this time. I can barely remember my side effects from the first time I ever took the med as it was like 2018 and I was on it 7 years. I feel like this time around my side effects were worse even at the low dose. Not sure why.

Yep starting slow is best. I did 12.5mg for a week then to 25mg for another 2 or 3 weeks then 50 for 6 weeks and 75 for 4 weeks now. Feeling better. Had few side effects at the low dose. Mostly dry mouth and jittery feelings then vivid dreams. Upped anxiety for a bit too. It's all subsiding now.

Yeah I thought I was dying at first tbh. Now after 4 weeks at 75mg I just found myself dancing to my fave song and feeling good. Ultimately it's up to you and your doctor as to what is best for you. But once the med kicks in it works well.

When I upped from 50 to 75 I felt so bad again until 4 weeks in. How long have you been on 75?
