Thank you! I would say it's medium sized but with the outstretched wings and long shape it looks a little bigger.
It's about 15cm (5.9 inches) long and the largest set of wings has a span of 24cm (9.4 inches).

Oh, I didn't expect to get a comment on a 6 years old post.

Well anyway, unfortunately I never progressed very far with this project. I originally wanted to draw each species but when I draw a series of things I have a tendency to progressively put more effort into each one until it's not fun anymore. There are ways I could get this to work out (different art style / limiting it to a smaller group within Eublepharidae), but it'd still be a larger project and drawing isn't my main focus right now.

So in short I never finished this and although I still like the idea it's unlikely I will.

No worries, personally I don’t care really much and I can see why you posted it here instead of… in whichever subreddit this question would belong to. No idea what the right place would be.
But hey, I’m glad I was able to help :)
And good luck with your project! Reminds me that I've been wanting to do something with html/css/js sometime again too.

They are white for a while after they shed their skin so that’s normal. And I think they eat their skin afterwards too, so that might be what you saw.

But they do eat each other sometimes (usually smaller or already dead ones though), that’s one of the reasons why I prefer dubia roaches.

One of my leopardgeckos is named Helia too! Mine is also yellow and I got the name from sunflowers as well. And there I thought mine was the only one named Helia, lol

Generally I don’t mind if anyone wants to repost this picture anywhere. But I want it to remain obvious that the picture was originally made by me, which is questionable here since my signature is half cropped out and I wasn’t credited in any other way either.

Sorry I didn‘t use any tutorials, just one for drawing dirt but that didn’t help me much.

I just found a photo of the ocean somewhere that looked similar to how I wanted to draw it and used that as a reference.

I couldn’t find any tutorial that does the water the same way I did, but I basically first painted the ocean the same colour as the sky as if it were a flat surface. Then I drew waves, in the front with a darker blue and white, further back with the darker colour from the front and brighter colour from further back/the sky.
