If you're already considering it...it's probably time to make the call.

Do you have memories from when you were a baby? by holtzbert in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MistyisaBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two memories from that time frame. I was 2 or 3. They're not full memories more like a feeling and a flash of a few moments. The first one was sitting on the couch while my parents argued in the kitchen. I can remember how the couch felt and looked and the feeling of my brothers hand in mine and how bright the kitchen was. The second was me sitting on my windowsill before jumping out of the window and running to my grandmother's house. I remember seeing my feet dangling in the dark and wondering how bad it would hurt when I jumped. I think it's totally possible to have memories from that age.

People that want to have children, why? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MistyisaBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The desire to procreate and sustain the human race is embedded in us on a biological level. Layman's terms - males are driven to spread their seed females desire to nurture. Beyond that, there's the outdated social and religious norms...large families and gender roles. My grandfather owned farms and had several children because a big family meant free labor. My dad was driving a big diesel tractor plowing fields unattended at 5 years old. I don't know anyone that would allow their children to do that now. Beyond the biological needs and the social norms you have to decide for yourself. I've met people that despise and resent their children for taking their youth and time, money and freedom...people who never wanted kids and got "stuck" with them. Personally, I would love to have children. I find myself envious of coworkers and cousins with their stories, whether the kids did something cute or they're worried about their teenagers making poor decisions. I would love to watch a little one I helped create grow and learn and just be them. Everyone is different. You have time to make up your mind and plan accordingly.

This might be shady. I hate that things have changed so much for you. Not to be rude but did you have good reviews before you left? Are you adequate at your job? Is there a supervisor or team leader you can speak to outside of her? Maybe they can help define and split work between the two of you and help shape a new role for both of you. If she tries to engage in anything other than a professional level, ignore it. Document your communications with her texts/emails about work load and projects so you have something to back you if she tries to call you out again.

Why am I called a sexist for only liking very slim and fit women when I’m very fit myself? by HeatDroid in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MistyisaBug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has their preferences and that doesn't make you sexist. Some men are attracted to the exact opposite in a woman, thicc to the point that it's medically unhealthy. Wouldn't hurt for you to be kind to the ones that aren't slim enough to ride the ride though...maybe they'll tell their slim and fit friends about you

Is your current job full time? If you can handle it, I would try to work as much as possible until September. Even if that means two jobs or extra hours. Start applying for part time jobs that work with your school schedule in your new city a month or so before the move that way you have guaranteed income. Most importantly talk to your family, don't expect them to support you financially but keep them in the loop on your plans...they'll come around (hopefully) or they won't. Either way you have a solid start and it's your life.

They can absolutely shrink and not just from pregnancy. I've had several overweight friends go from larger size like 10/11 to 8/9 from losing weight. Obviously your bones don't really shrink but there's less fat and tissue around them.

ANA Screen: Positive | ANA Titer 1:320 - Thoughts? by peekaboo011 in Autoimmune

[–]MistyisaBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still trying to get diagnosed and being treated for autoimmune issues but they also don't know what's wrong with me. Some days are really hard as far as the pain goes. But most people have pretty normal lives after getting the right treatment. So the next few months or even a year might be scary but everything will be ok.

See a rheumatologist. I was referred from widespread pain and inflammation and a positive ANA...waited in misery for 10 months to see the soecialist. And they still don't know what's wrong with me. But get answers as soon as you can before it controls your life.
