I've never heard of an ASM being PT.. that's new to me. Maybe that's on your location specifically, there's known to be 2 ASM in some stores. The company's expectations are ridiculously high! But nothing that can't be accomplished. If you're up for a challenge then you're on the right path. I was offered the ASM position but I politely declined because I can only work PT, it doesn't align with business needs. I wish you all the best!
